I loved shooting falco, cuz he annoyed the hell outta me... "Hey Einstien, I'm on your side!!" Or letting slippy get shot down.... "NNNOOO, Slippy's down!" Did anyone think it was weird that Slippy was a dude and sounded like a chick?? This game would be great if it comes with an expanded multiplayer version of what the N64 version had. More levels, all the different arwings from the entire series, the landmaster tank, and maybe a few levels on foot alla SFA. Also there should be more types of pick ups and there should be online and local play for the multiplayer mode. Maybe even a download mode for the first level of the game. Just a few thoughts...
Official website for upcoming flight combat game confirms mid-summer release; North American date still TBA.
On Tuesday, Nintendo dated the 3DS remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for a June 19 debut in North America. Today, the Japanese game company dated another anticipated Nintendo 64 remake, but only for Japan.
The Japanese official website for Star Fox 64 3D opened recently, displaying a July 14 release date for the flight combat game. Unfortunately, no additional information is available on the site, though nostalgic Star Fox music runs in the background. Currently, the game is slated for a vague "summer 2011" release for North America.
Gamers eager to get their hands on Star Fox 64 3D might not have to wait long after the July 14 release date for Japan, if the scheduling of other games is any indicator. Ocarina of Time 3D will be released in the land of the rising sun on June 16, just three days before it debuts in North America.

I've beaten this game every possible way on the N64 ... but I still want it for 3DS ... Sounds crazy when I type it out like that.
@firstclassgamer Are you referring to a DK64 remake? I think Nintendo would have the rights, considering that they made a new DK Country game that Rare had originally developed in the 90s. Besides, Nintendo owns DK. I think they could pull it off.
Use the Boost to get thru ! Use bombs wisely... the enemy is coming from behind ! Be careful, it's a trap ! Your father helped me like that, too ! This brings back memories of your dad. It's quiet... TOO quiet. Aim for the opening spot ! DO A BARREL ROLL !!!
Can't wait to see more of the game in action. Starfox 64 was one of the best games to hit the N64 back in the time.
Never played this. Had a Playstation like 68 million more gamers than the Nintendo 64. The demo in Brawl is good but yet chose not to buy it and then E3. Hopefully this game can deliver like most say. It most likely will
oh, sheeple, stop complaining. they're making STUFF! take advantage of it if you like it, pass it by if you don't...
@ thewwwyzzerdd I completely agree with you. I know I said leave the classic in the past, but yes younger gamers should play them, too. What Nintendo doesn't get is that they mass release them early in a consoles life. Yes. Re-release the classics for newer consoles for the younger audiences, but don't make 5 remakes when your new current handheld only has like...20 games. I need variety, and playing a game that was once on an older console with the same bugs, etc. doesn't make me wanna pick up my 3DS and play it. That, and it doesn't sport the hardware. It just shows they have mediocre porting skills.
Sounds like a good buy, Starfox 64 is the best Starfox that ever has been made and will likely ever be made.
I would like to point out that a lot of the people complaining about these remakes are the same people who complain about the 3ds on every freaking 3ds article... And most of them have Sony pictures. Hmm...
are they going to make a portable super smash bros? hope they announce it on e3 if so going to buy a 3ds
I guess Nintendo knows their new games aren't too hot - so just remake all the old ones that people liked if all your new games aren't any good. Sounds like the first signs of a company on their way to just being a game developer - although that didn't turn out so hot for SEGA either. Oh well, I own all the good Nintendo platforms - hard to beat great stuff like the NES and SNES, though I forget the name of the SEGA console that was competing with the NES (I never owned it) but seeing the quality of their games vs the NES version SEGA looked and sounded much nicer.
man the 3ds is getting more and more awesome with epic games coming out soon like dead or alive, resident evil mercaneries, and that new mario game
@Henninger I personally dont mind these remakes only because they're on a portable system. Being able 2 play these games on the go is great. ********************************************************** Yeah.. that's true. I just wish Nintendo had released a few original games prior to these titles. I would have loved a Diddy Kong, Kirby or even a Luigi type game at launch. All we got was PilotWings, which doesn't really say Nintendo. They could have did a bit better with the launch games, that's all. I still love my 3DS though. Waiting patiently for the online store to open.
I freaking hate how they won't change the name and omit "64". It's like they want to emphasize that they have no creativity at all. More so, I mean.
@Supabul @blackace, you shouldn't say we ********************************************************* What the hell are you talking about. No one said . lol ---------------------------------------------------------------------- @Supabul Is Tactic's Ogre a new ip ********************************************************* I never said it was a new IP. I said it was a new game that was just released on the PSP. Tactic Ogre is a remake with better graphics and control. PE: 3rd Birthday is Parasite Eve sequel and Dissidia 012 is also a sequel. None of these games are new IP. I said I wanted to see some new IPs on the 3DS.
I might grab this one a couple months after I get my DS. Right now I'm only interested in Paper Mario, RE Revelations, OOT, and BlazBlue.
When I was a kid I played the crap out of this game. I remember being 10 years old and crying after I got the ending where Fox's dad helps you escape lol.
@penpusher Because it was fun -_- I dont really care if their in it but the game was fun and thats all I look for in a game if its fun! Just cous I see fox or somone else doesnt mean the game will be fun out of the bat for example that mario sport mix game was lame.
@iAmAbel erm if you dont mind my asking ,,, why? ... that wasnt a starfox game that was an adventure game with the fox cast shoved in ....
My GOD nintendo is BAD! Always making *new* money over *super-old* content! And since it's super kid oriented, it's the parents money involved...god they know how to make money...
Why won't Nintendo just release StarFox 2? I mean the game was almost near completed before they nuked it so FINISH IT and release it as a "new" StarFox game?
@StSk8ter29 "Paying 50 dollars for them individually just to have them on a portable is ridiculous. Especially when I can get Star Fox 64 on Wii for ten dollars off the shop channel." Agreed. And if we think about, where's Star Fox Wii?
The people complaining about remakes dont seem to take into account that these games are over 10 years old now... there are a lot of gamers who were too young to appreciate these games when they came out, and those of us who did get to enjoy them get a nice dose of nostalgia.
