Square Enix seeking Deus Ex: Human Defiance trademark

Well, that's a bummer.

if you quit with that "passive takedowns earn higher XP" business (which, given the context of the story, made no sense to me), I'll be interested.

I'd probably get this game if it was in 3rd person, seen it on sale on steam for 4.99 a few times still haven't picked it up.

I love Human Revolution so much, It's definitely one of my favourite games I've played recently. I'm excited for a sequel, but I just hope they either take out the boss fights or re-work them so it's possible to sneak by/silently take down the bosses. Although it's a small thing, I could also do without the static horizon in the elevator that doesn't change in perspective as you move up.

Imagine if Keanu Reaves was cast as Adam Jenson, and Al Pacino was cast as David Sarif.  Director could be Christopher Nolan.  It would be epic.  

I would be absolutely ecstatic if they're really going to make a new Deus Ex game. The original Deus Ex from 2000 is still my favorite game of all-time and I completely enjoyed HR. Invisible War was really good too in my opinion, even though I know alot of people didn't like it. As for this possible new entry what I'd like to know is where it'll fit in the DX timeline. Right after Human Revolution? After Invisible War? Can't wait to find out. This would be fantastic. They nailed it with HR. Best game of 2011.

I liken Deus Ex Human Revolution to being what Metal Gear would be if made by Americans.  Both franchises are top notch and I'd be stoke for another entry in teh Deus Ex pantheon.

the Deus ex series is right up there with the Metal Gear, FarCry, Hitman, and the Yakuza in my top 5 personal favorite game series of all time :D of course I hope to see a sequel game or a even a movie (as long as Uwe Boll isnt touching it it'll be fine)

Hope they bring another Deus Ex game out/ Running on the new luminous engine would look incredible, with the Deus art style.  If the oculus rift can get involved,  I will become. a cyborg LOl.

I keep thinking that Jim Caviezel would be great for the lead role in a film wearing that costume :D

I think another game set in a timeline before the first Deus Ex game would be great.  There's enough of a timeline gap to explore between HR and DE1.

Dear God yes.

This was one if my fav games i played this gen and never heard of before. I ended up loving 2 and got 1 and it was even better. 2 is still great a game, and I admit j was disappointed by the anti climatic ending.

I'd prefer that the fancy CGI trailers are in the game and not just the promo material. The CGI clips in the game were noticeably inferior to the Square Enix trailers and so it would have been better to use the in game graphics.

I hope the next game has a better ending, i mean, the game was alright but the ending it was boring

I can't wait for the next Deus Ex Trailers. I mean, the game(HR) is good but the trailers are awesome, especially the Extended/Director's Cut, it really impressed me - Adam's voice, the music, the atmosphere...damn man...just epic. If you make another DE game... make the ending like the original, Panchea and having three buttons put in front of you is so overly dumbed down  I wanted to smack those guys at eidos montreal in the face.  The last level and how you got the endings of the first one was phenomenal, each ending had it's own 30 minutes of gameplay to get that ending...  so to go from that to having three buttons put in front of you, really really really felt condescending and like the devs didn't care at all.

And a final level where I actually get to USE my badass weapons i''ve been collecting throughout the game, Panchea again, if you had about 6 gas grenades and the aug that lets you fall without damage, you don't need anything else.  What a waste of a level Panchea was.... Area 51 really was the best final level I think I've ever played.  They did the opposite of System Shock 2, which had to rush the final level, they really made a fantastic final level with the original DE.

Oh and don't outsource the boss battles. Period.  Remember in the first one, with the kill phrases, those boss battles were awesome b/c you could defeat them with your mind and your  mind alone.

I love the Deus Ex games. HR was good, but the best is still the original.

Another Deus Ex game would be awesome. I loved Deus Ex: HR.

What? Sequel? I'd love it. Human Revolution is the game that got me into stealth, after all, and the examination of cybernetic ethics made it one of the few truly mature games I've ever played.
