E3 2012: Ubisoft Toronto building new Sam Fisher game due early next year for Xbox 360 with Kinect support, as well as PlayStation 3 and PC.
Sam Fisher will return next year. During Microsoft's 2012 Electronic Entertainment Expo media briefing today, Ubisoft representatives revealed Splinter Cell: Blacklist will ship during spring 2013. In development at Ubisoft Toronto, Splinter Cell: Blacklist will offer Kinect control for the Xbox 360 version and boast single-player, co-op, and spies-vs.-mercenaries game modes.
In Splinter Cell: Blacklist, a group of "rogue nations" have become fed up with the United States' armed presence in their countries. To combat this, they devised "The Blacklist," a series of terrorist attacks aimed at the United States.
A gameplay demo for Splinter Cell: Blacklist was shown during the briefing, showing Fisher sneaking into an enemy camp at the Iran-Iraq border. Players take on the role of series hero Sam Fisher in Splinter Cell: Blacklist and will have the soldier's iconic tactical suit and goggles at their disposal.
Ubisoft Montreal and Ubisoft Shanghai are assisting in development of the game.

So where is the Splinter Cell for gamers who like methodically creeping about, hiding in the shadows and patiently waiting to pounce on their prey?
Conviction was a step sideways into a different style of gameplay and this looks like more of that. So disappointing... I want my stealth back!!!
Conviction 2.0 ( Blacklist )
Stealth game turned action game? WTF is wrong with you Ubisoft. We want a stealth game. Every other series you develop is an action game, why in the hell do you take the one & only stealth franchise & turn it into a garbage shooter?
*In Darth Vader Voice* - NNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@brucecambell I know WTF? But looks like you will have more options than in Conviction (oh why did they dump first version of it???) My only hope is new Hitman, although slow motion shooting in Hitman!!!
does anyone know if this is exclusive to 360...i want to play this game badly but i only have a ps3....
@jsmoke03 The "Follow" button above shows options for PC, XBOX 360, and PS3 versions, so it looks like you're in luck. No Wii U version listed though...bummer.
The Mechanics that make splinter cell are there better then ever, faster as well but the things that make Sam...... his 50+ years old and he moves like a freaking Russian acrobat! He is too "stab happy" then professional, and why change his freaking voice???
Ubisoft i grew to love you....guess this is the time i need to tolerate you, don't let it happen again! hopefully it is just a place keeping voice...... only time will tell.
Splinter Cell: Blacklist just looks incredible. With the ability to use the kinect to distract enemies, it should be a smash hit.
I dont know what more they can do with Splinte Cell that hasn't been done. The first 3 games were excellent, and double agent was okay, but the last game was too actioney.
Maybe it will get back to the roots? If so, I'll be excited. Didn't like the last Splinter cell title, it's more like a shooter than a stealthy game for me.
Glad to see Sam Fisher back. Enjoyed Conviction, just as I've enjoyed each of the previous games in the series.
Need to get a new character, sam fisher isn't sam fisher anymore. :-( I don't know if i can play this
Loved Conviction, even though it lacked the elements that made Chaos Theory so great (hiding bodies etc), however if this plays like Conviction whereby you can change the tempo on the fly, coupled with being able to hide bodies etc, with the addition of being able to traverse the envioroment ala AC, then this surely has to be the greatest SC yet!
It's not Splinter Cell anymore. Michael Ironside is not voicing the character, but is rather the narrator. What the...hell. And also, this is turning out to be nothing but a COD TPS! The hell is wrong with Ubisoft?
I hope there is a lot more content, like it will give me a more reason to replay it [like in MGS series---sorry].........NOT focusing on multiplayer. Last splinter cell I played was conviction and to me it was kinda short.........hope its a bit more longer this time around.
let the bashing commence! ^__^
That demo during the conference was great and I've never played a Splinter Cell game before. This will be on my list of games to try in 2013 along side with Crysis 3.
@dark_rising76 you should give conviction a try. lot of fun and i would think you can pick it up for cheap now.
