SoulCalibur V goes gold

I just hope its as fast as Soul Calibur II. SC2 is the best in the series in my opinion.

I was a die-hard fan of this series, but it's tailed off just a little. I still prefer to play Soulblade every now and then, and even more rarely dusting off the Dreamcast and putting in the first Soul Calibur, the sequel to the Soulblade original. I'll still buy this, but not on release. Likely 4-5 months down the line when it's much cheaper.

Did they ran out of guest characters to find? How come it's only Ezio this time? Last time we got Darth Vader, Yoda, Kratos (PSP), and the Jedi Apprentice and last gen we got Link, Spawn, and Heihachi but now all we got is Ezio. C'mon where's Indiana Jones, Dante, Cloud Strife, Nathan Drake, Master Chief, Simon Belmont, Gray Fox (Metal Gear Solid), etc., anything other than just Ezio.

I'm excited since I just started SCIV a few days ago. :P

it is funny how the sexual innuendo is one of the reasons i buy a new soulcalibur game every couple of years. not the gameplay. yet, its not the only reason.(i post this to see if i'm not the only one.) anyways, that having been said. i hope they send the copies out early. as i have preordered it already. hehehe

@Jinjuri: Uh, Super Smash Bros is a party game with fighting elements, but it isn't enough to consider the series itself as a fighting game. Personally, I find them to be closer to platformers than actual fighting games. Oh Sould Calibur V, um... I've been keeping my eye on this game for a while and been checking out some of the info that's coming out. I see myself picking it up but I'm not sure if I'll pick it up immediatly or wait some time first.

Soul Calibur IV was fun, only fighting game I've ever been good at. Hopefully all the sexual innuendo thats revolving around this one doesn't destroy the gameplay. I'll be watching for it.

Definitely going to pick this one up.

Collector's Edition will be the best. Maybe'll get the fight stick.

I hope it's good SC IV was disappointing imo.

I'm a fan of tournament fighters like Street Fighter and MvC, but Soul Calibur is my favorite. I like it because you CAN have fun if you don't know what the heck you are doing, but you can also be very technical and have strategy.

So worth it, been a fan of soul calibur since the first on dreamcast. Im getting this on day one

Glad a great game comes along with a decently priced CE for once.

I'll wait for a review before I decide if I want this or not..... SC4 on XBOX didn't feel right, I also didn't like the whole tower mode, I kinda hope they bring back the campaign from SC3, the whole strategy game there was really cool.....

Let's see if Namco gets it right this time. I've been waiting for a decent SC game since SC2. Though I must say, that Arcade Stick looks absolutely sick.

@ahpuck thats disgusting its going to look like oranges hanging in a plastic sack. I dont know why they cant just focus on making the butts look better if there going to go out of there way to try and make these chicks look extra sexy. I just cant stand the fact that when i play games that feature boobs that are bigger than the characters body/head that from a females perspective it just looks like im playing the game cause i think those chicks are hot. SC has some solid gameplay its just to bad the look of some of the characters make it look ridiculous.

@Jinjur ive always considered smash bros a hybrid since its not a traditional fighting game but its an amazing franchise nontheless in fact ive bought the last two nintendo consoles just because of smash. SCV is a must have and with the game going gold so soon means were probably going to see a lot of leaked copies. I cant wait and maybe i can even get my hands on one of those early copies.

Soul Calibur is definitely my favorite fighting game after Smash Bros. Mellee, which, in my opinion, is the best fighting game ever. But SC5 is a must buy for me.

@womandog if your a moron it will be a button masher, but if you play it right you will find it will more than likely be the opposite once you get the combo's down.

This game is going to be a heck of a lot of fun!

If you like button mashing/no-skill games, this will be a godsend.

I'm definitely excited for this, but I just hope this game is a step above SC4. SC4 was good, but it didn't even come close to the greatness of SC2, which is my favorite fighting game of all time, mainly due to a lack of game modes (still wondering why Time Attack and Team Battle mode weren't in it, not to mention the story mode was meh and the endings for each character were just cheesy and awful). SC5 looks promising, but I just hope it's a lot more like SC2 and not SC4...

My Soul has return to SoulCalibur V and this time no Jedi will conquer me ever again. Not really I just love the series so much that I put so many hours into it. Theirs some games in the series that could be not mention and left behind if you know what I mean.
