Sony reaffirms PS3 2010 sales projections

The PS3 is worth more money than it is sold for, and it also does not break down dead in RRoD blaze.

I enjoy Sony's game systems but their overall customer support or care lacks tremendously in my opinion. They could lose a fan because of it, I'm tired of getting my PSN account suspended for Freedom of Speech.

What is rare means more valuable and prestigious to own. I do not understand why fanboys talk about the sales numbers of a console . In such case, wii kicks both console's a.s ! The reality is ; Quality is more important than quantity. And PS3 is the top quality console of this 7th generation without doubt. 2011 will be the starting of ps3's golden age. Keep watching :)

I'm surprised how long term Sony really plans for Shows a really successful company. Not speaking on the basis of a fan of Playstation but as a consumer in general. The fact that they don't seem impacted at all by the slow sales of the first year or two shows that they really have planned for all this to happen sooner or later

PS3 Exclusives are goin push the PS3 to sell more in 2011. Plus with 3 GOTY Contenders which 1 will certainly win will prove that PS3 is the best console. GOTY will go to 1 of these games: LBP 2,Killzone 3 or Uncharted 3. So when the Spike VGA's roll around at ther end of 2011. I can expect to see many 360 owners Cry nonstop.

@ Ares360 The fanboy wars are due to the exclusivity of a game on a single console. I own all the three consoles, PS3, X360 and Wii. Why get all three? The answer is what I mention earlier, exclusivity. Fanboys are jealous of what they have and don't have.

@ godzillavskong That's depend on the game. Let's take for an example a shooting game. The game studio can add controls for both the DS3 and Move controller mappings. But of course, all PS3 games must have DS3 controller mapping in the game as a default as not all PS3 owners owns Move controllers.

That's good news for Sony, hopefully Sony and Microsoft don't give up on what got them where they are right now, which is the "hardcore" , standard controller type games. I'm not against them, but I would rather they spend more resources on regular controller based gaming.

Kaz sounds pretty confident. What were the previous year's sales numbers through September so we can compare?

@Ex-DarkBlade yes i know. Sorry i didnt write my post very well. I was trying to say as godzilla spotted the 89 dolla player will be crap, with the ps3 you get an updating bluray 3d compatible fast spin up and it has the blueray live thing which no one uses :) They are defo worth the money i bought the expensive original with the card readers etc on it and dont regret it a second. Still working away, its my entertainment hub. Does everything. :)

@Dominicobaggio I update my Samsung Bluray player often. No doubt that the PS3 is a bargain, with what is all included out of the box, and I don't know if I would really invest in a $89 Bluray player though. The term you get what you pay for may come in to play.

@DiscGuru101 a really really crappy player for that cost which takes about 2 hours to spin up. Ps3 has 3d bluray compatibility, that crappy internet connection bluray thing no one uses and updates so its always the most up to date bluray player ;)

I think thou dost protest too much. Because now that a Blu-Ray player is $89, the PS3 better price drop if it expects to stay relevant much longer.

@megakick While I don't have that many PS3 games, I haven't noticed any frame rate, or bug issues in any of the games I have. MGS4,GOW3,Uncharted, and Condemned 2 all run smoothly. I think you would have to play the games on the PS3, and experience this so-called issue, before bashing, or claiming that the PS3 has these problems.

@megakick Wow what a fanboy you are. they both have issues with frame-rates and bugs, but only one took 4 years to get a red ring issue fixed. lol, and that's not bias...that's fact.

@megakick, your statement is biased. PS3 and Xbox 360 both have frame rate and bugs issues in certain games.

so ps3 quailty is poor frame rate graphic tears and bugs? rather have a console that can run games more smoothly.

playstation series always been better since super nes guess what i used to own super nes and got into playstation after that ps1 ps2 know ps3 i think i go right consle so sony never out xbox360 and xbox360. ps3 so i guess xbox360 for chaps . sony knows best so i know that ps3 sales ganna sale a lot because look great games out in 211 ganna be the ps3 year

Kingdom Hearts HD or a remake of Jak and Daxter might be nice for the PS3, knowing that they were both almost best-sellers.

I, reaffirm my butt on my chair for 2011. Before any fan boys or girls say anything. I have PSone,Ps2,Ps3,PsP, and xbox360 aswell LG monitors :P . But what I'm trying to say is, if you are not a share holder or a share broker then I recommend don't even bother reading this sort of news or any news regarding game sales or console sales.

an vagrant story, xenosaga, legend of mana have all just been confirmed for north america on the psn, haahh YEEEE im so exited for this i have not played any of them 3 ps1 classics, an i have been drooling for them for years, ebay gets to expensive, hah this makes my day, now u wont find these classics on xbox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! can we say 20111 will be sonys best year ever?? most likely!

@youngsexynerd, I am a rpg person and I do like jrpgs. I keep forgeting PS3 exclusives for next year. I am still missing more games on the list.

@Ex-Darkblade, an disgaea 4 if ur into them types of games, disgaea titles have always been sum of the best srpgs, an its ps3 exclusive an makes its debut in 2011, so yeah i just wanted to throw that game out there cuz jrpgs need sum love!
