well as long this i can't still play those game on a normal HDTV i'm fine for now. I don't see the need to buy a 3DTV since there isn't enough 3D content out yet to make it worth.
Sony launches 3D PS3 games tomorrow
First batch of stereoscopically enhanced titles includes Wipeout HD, Super Stardust HD, PAIN, and MotorStorm Pacific Rift demo; first 3D Move game confirmed.
Sony's interest in stereoscopic 3D gaming on the PlayStation 3 was first rumored late in 2007, and tomorrow the company will finally take its first steps into the third dimension. The console maker today revealed that it will offer three stereoscopic 3D versions of previously released games on the PlayStation Network tomorrow, as well as a demo of a fourth.
The first three games receiving the stereoscopic treatment are the downloadable exclusives Wipeout HD, Super Stardust HD, and PAIN. The first two games will be entirely in 3D, while PAIN's 3D content will be limited to the default downtown level and tutorial area. The game will feature three game modes supporting 3D, two of which were newly created with the technology in mind.
The fourth 3D offering is a demo of MotorStorm: Pacific Rift, Evolution Studios' 2008 racing sequel. Sony gave no indication on when (or if) the full retail version of the game will receive a stereoscopic 3D overhaul.
Sony is also offering a cross-promotional incentive involving the 3D games, giving purchasers of new Bravia 3D HDTVs vouchers to download the titles for free. As for the future, Sony announced that at least one of the upcoming PlayStation Move games--The Fight: Lights Out--will feature 3D support.
