THQ and Sega announce the North American release of Sonic Advance 3 for the Game Boy Advance.

THQ and Sega have announced the North American release of Sonic Advance 3 for the Game Boy Advance. The game sees players assuming the roles of Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Cream, and Amy as they attempt to restore order to a world broken into seven pieces by the evil Dr. Eggman.

"The Sonic franchise is among the top franchises on the Game Boy Advance system," said Tiffany Ternan, senior vice president of North American sales and distribution at THQ. "We look forward to building on that success with Sonic Advance 3."

"Our partnership with THQ has allowed us to extend the Sonic franchise to millions of Game Boy Advance consumers across the globe," added Scott Steinberg, vice president of entertainment marketing at Sega of America. "With Sonic Advance 3, handheld gamers can look forward to Game Link multiplayer capabilities and an exciting new battle mode. Everyone involved in the creative process deserves recognition for delivering another amazing 2D Sonic title."

Sonic Advance 3 is rated "E" for Everyone and carries a suggested retail price of $29.99.
