I was about to pick this up at gamestop for $24.29 and the dude told me this was going to be on psn this week. I'm thinking cool it will be $19.99 and I'll pick it up. But to sell it at $29.99 for all 3 together is a pass. I'm wishing I would have grabbed the physical disc when I had it in hand.
Sly Collection is headed to PSN; all three full games are available for download in the US on Tuesday, November 29.
Last year, Sony released remastered versions of three original Sly Cooper titles for the PlayStation 3 as part of the US$40 Sly Collection pack.
Today, the publisher announced that the Sly Collection will be heading to the PlayStation Network on November 29 as a PlayStation Store download. Players can either purchase the entire collection--comprising updated versions of Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, Sly 2: Band of Thieves, and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves--for US$29.99 or buy the individual titles for US$9.99 each.
Each PlayStation 2 title in the collection has been remastered, with 720p visuals, widescreen HD running at 60 frames per second, 3D support, and trophy incorporation. However, according to a post on the official PlayStation blog, the PlayStation Move-enabled minigames that came as part of the original Blu-ray version of the collection will not be available in the PSN versions of the game.
The original series of stealth platforming games featuring a thieving raccoon were developed for the PS2 by Sucker Punch Productions.
At the Electronic Entertainment Expo in June this year, Sony announced the fourth installment in the Sly Cooper series: Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, which will be released in 2012.
@mtait01 I recommend Sly 2 and it is worth it if you enjoy stealth/platform/humour in games. @visionedorange well i did not run away from this so called plague, and actually enjoyed them. (am I infected now? save me!) Lemme give you a tip, well I just went through your profile (im a stalker! call the cops haha) and most of the games you reviewed and the most unions you joined are Survival horror or shooters. So stick to those genres because it seems your head cant get around games like Sly.
@mtait01, don't bother. It won't be awesome unless you played it when it first came out and you're already a fan.
anyone thinkin about gettin this should avoid is like the plague these games r terrible little kid games i played em for the easy plats but my god wer they terrible
I saw the Sly collection on sale today. I have never played a game in the series, is it worth picking up the HD collection of PS3?
@SolidTy I LOVE HD COLLECTIONS! Jak, DMC, Sly, I get to play many games that I should have on my PS2. :P
This is great for pp who havent got it and thats why know on psn and more HD Collection will contiue to realse in retial and psn store
Oh, for a second I thought they were re-releasing a re-released game. This'll probably increase my chances of getting it now.
@InnerSenses I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that lol I suppose that extra money is because you only have to click on 1 thing on the psn instead of 3 saves some wear on your thumb and X button
Awesome! I might get this! One problem though... "for US$29.99 or buy the individual titles for US$9.99 each." So you save two cents by buying them individually? That makes no sense haha
