Sleeping Dogs ships 1.5 million copies
Square Enix action game the company's best performing title during latest financial period; Dragon Quest X ships 700,000.
Square Enix's new action game Sleeping Dogs has shipped 1.5 million copies since launch this summer, the company announced today as part of its financial report for the six-month period ended September 30.
The United Front Games-developed project was Square Enix's best performing title during the period, outpacing the second strongest offering, Dragon Quest Monsters Terry No Wonderland 3D for the 3DS. That title has shipped 900,000 copies since launch in May, though it is available only in Japan.
Square Enix also disclosed shipment figures for Dragon Quest X (700,000 units in Japan), Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance (650,000 copies), and Theatrhythm Final Fantasy (150,000 units).
Sleeping Dogs is a resurrection of True Crime: Hong Kong, which Activision canceled in 2011. For more on the title, check out GameSpot's review.
