@AmnesiaHaze lol i haven't, i refuse to divy out money to 30 different people just to run a game on Xbox. i'm going to stick to skyrim until i have all the dlc's, then no more bethesda games.
Skyrim DLC for PS3 remains stalled

Bethesda "still on it" regarding downloadable content for latest Elder Scrolls game on Sony platform; Hearthfire now available for PC.
Sony has provided an update regarding the absence of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim downloadable content for the PlayStation 3, but it isn't good news for fans. Bethesda vice president of public relations and marketing Pete Hines wrote on Twitter that there is nothing to share.
"I don't have any info on Hearthfire, Dawnguard, or DLC in general for PS3," he said. "We're still on it. Will share update when I have one."
Skyrim's first add-on--the vampire-themed Dawnguard expansion--came to Xbox 360 in June, with a release in August for PC following the Xbox 360's 30-day exclusivity. It may never come to the PS3, according to comments from a Bethesda representative in August.
Though PS3 fans are left to wait for Skyrim DLC, PC gamers can download the game's Hearthfire content--which came to Xbox 360 in August--beginning today. It is available for $5 allows players to purchase land and build a home from the ground up. Players can furnish their abodes with an armory, alchemy laboratory, and a garden, where they can craft items for use in the game. Those who want the job done more quickly can hire a steward to purchase materials and furnish their homes for them.
Once a home is completed, players can move in with their spouse and even adopt a child through the game's new adoption system. Home ownership comes with its own tasks and perils, with players needing to raise their children and defend their home from giants, as well as other nasty creatures.

1 Like I don't know why anyone is still focused on this. How are you going to play the DLC if the game doesn't even work on the PS3?
It's really sad how many people think this is some kind of conspiracy where MS is paying bethesda to make the ps3 look bad... lol I mean, seriously?
@FollowY0urBliss it's not a conspiracy, and it's not to make ps3 look bad, it's MS paying Bethesda to have a 1 month exclusivity, but Bethesda being incompetent, giving them nearly a year's worth of exclusivity.

1 Like Well they made Fallout New Vegas ultimate edition for ps3 and it freezes its ass off... I cant play mine for more than 30 minutes before it freezes sometimes sooner... They still sell the game of ps3 so apparently they dont care about that... I believe M$ gave them alot of money not to do it
1 Like The only compaines that get the goods from Bethe$da are the ones who fork over the cash. They have hated Sony since day one, thats why PS3 owners are getting the shaft once again. Becrasda is to busy sucking at the teet of Microsoft to give Sony a fair deal.
Maybe I'm just not educated enough to understand, but I just don't get why Skyrim could have SO many bugs. I mean look at games like Borderlands 2, Arkham City, AC games, heck even Oblivion. All of those games are large games and for the most part run smoothly and bugless. I just don't understand why Skyrim should be any different.

6 Like After I read this I had a mysterious vision... I was in a video game store next Tuesday with Dishonored in my left hand and Resident Evil 6 in my right one. Oh my god I want both games but I only have money for one. Suddenly I remembered what Bethesda did to PS3 owners with previous games and I saw my self leaving Dishonored back on the shelf...
@wwfwwe Well, I will not be buying any of their games on the PS3 for a while. That is for sure. Since I own both I will be getting on the 360 for now until early/mid next gen, when my confidence in them will be restored.
2 Like @Tzardok @wwfwwe That's not really hurting them, though. The choice is yours, but this hurts Sony rather than Bethesda. They'll still get your money, while Sony will lose money from the PS3 copies not sold.
What I do? No Bethesda games, or better yet, used, so they get zero cents from me. I never resort to used games I can find new, but this is a special case.
4 Like To the ever groing mod community, a sincere thanks from someone who've enjoyed mods since Morrowind and still do. Not only do you provide players with a chance to shape Bethesda's world into their own by adding content, improve visuals, gameplay etc. You also patch the game to a respectable state. Nice of Bethesda to provide you the tools, but then again, they would be pretty lost without you.
Buy Bethesda games for PC.
7 Like Bethesda, I love your games but you cannot develop worth a damn. Sorry but if you can't make a good port then don't bother making it at all. Most PS3 ports are identical to the 360 versions, it comes down to devs not the system.
Bad ports also happen on PC from time to time, is it the PC's fault? No it's the devs. PS3 is the same way. That being said Skyrim on PS3 plays perfectly fine now after the update. But the lack of DLC sucks. Bethesda used to be my favorite developer, now it's Naughty Dog.
1 Like Well, with every one of these news items I become more convinced which console I will be buying first next gen. Love my PS3 but I'm so glad I didn't have it when this game came out, not that I'd have got it for it anyway, all my friends have 360's.

@CHROMEFLAMIN Go ahead. The rest of us will enjoy their games for what they are instead of complaining about what is potentially one of the best games of this generation.
I bet they're just going to make a GOTY edition with all DLC on disc and recoded to work as part of the main game to get get past all the technical issues. So guys once it releases just trade in your Skyrim copy for that one. Problem solved.

good thing i got skyrim on the 360 and not the PS3 but it still sucks surely they should have checked they could do it for all platforms before they said it would be available on all platforms

As for the PS3 owners: I feel sorry for them. The lack of support for cross-platform games on PS3 must hurt. Is it seven years now(?) into the cycle of this 'next'-gen console, and some game-developers still have not figured it out. But I blame the publisher, for pushing its release on a platform, the game devs are not familiar with.
@sethfrost That's just the thing. Bethesda is familiar with the platform. They have released other games on PS3 this generation.
1 Like Good effort, but they might as well lay this situation to rest. I own Skyrim on PS3. It's a great game. I've played over 100 hours and I'm pretty satisfied with my experience. It sucks that it seems to just not be possible to get the DLC running properly, but that in no way detracts from my overall experience with the game. Good effort, but let it go already.
I thought developers at Bethesda and Sony developers, gave up on
Sky Rim's DLC for the PS3 long time ago. I gotta commend them
for trying to get that content out for PS3 gamers. If you own a PS3
and you love Sky Rim this must suck not having that DLC.
1 Like This is why I only ever buy exclusives on my ps3, Sony are just so bad at releasing games/content that it is always late.
Another example is the walking dead game series, Sony are alwasy late by weeks to release the episode compared to PC and microsoft

6 Like I always give Bethesda slack on their bugs because their games are so big (and I thought they could be worse: after all, look at what happened to New Vegas when someone besides Bethesda handled development). However, this is totally unacceptable. I own the PC version, but I'm mad on behalf of PS3 fans because this is pretty damned careless.

1 Like Skyrim is a bad game overall at least tome. The only thing you do is walk around and people just want to kill you for no reason lol I mean the open world thing is a little bit neat but meh. PS3 players have so much more with exclusives anyways I doubt they care. MS pro payed for this btw but who care about Skyrim.
