Sims 2 Nightlife boogies over to factory
Second expansion for EA and Maxis' popular life sim goes gold, due September 13.
Ever since they were released, both The Sims 2 and its first expansion pack, The Sims 2 University, have been among the top 10 best-selling PC games in the country. Soon, another member of the faux-life-sim family will join them. Today, Electronic Arts announced that The Sims 2: Nightlife has gone gold and will ship as scheduled on September 13.
Published by EA and developed by its internal Maxis studio, Nightlife is the second expansion for The Sims 2, after University. However, instead of letting players' sims do beer bongs at ragin' keggers, Nightlife will offer more-refined forms of nocturnal rest and relaxation, including restaurants, dance clubs, swanky bars, karaoke, bowling, and dating. GameSpot's previous coverage has more on the game's myriad new features.
The Sims 2 Nightlife will retail for $34.99 and is rated T for Teen. It will require the original Sims 2 to play.
