@JustPlainLucas Yes I did, the solution to not having this happen to you is then to buy the game first hand. If it's one of the games I sell on ebay but have to put a note during the description to simply explain the issue of all the content being unlocked and let people bid on it as they please then that is there decision. I don't think it's a good practice but I doubt Capcom is going to carry it on, they're getting a lot of flack and clearly people are telling them they don't like it and with the response they've given they are hearing the fans. I'm not sceptical and paranoid enough to worry capcom will turn evil and implement this in all future titles, it's a bad idea and they've done it but I doubt they'll do it again. If they do then I won't buy the next title that does it.
Shippin' Out June 26-July 2: Resident Evil 3DS, Black Ops DLC
New release slate led by Capcom's horror game for 3DS and latest Call of Duty map pack for the Xbox 360; SSFIV: Arcade Edition, UFC Trainer, and Sniper: Ghost Warrior for PS3 also out.
It's a busy week at retail, as several high-profile new releases arrive this week ranging from a portable 3D horror game to the latest Call of Duty map pack.
Leading the charge this week is Capcom's Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D for Nintendo's 3DS. The game is inspired by the game modes of the same name that were featured in Resident Evil 4 and 5. In the title, players try to beat each other's zombie kill counts in timed rounds. Specific missions from those two games will be included, along with new modes and additional characters. The game will also feature online cooperative play, as well as a demo of the upcoming 3DS title Resident Evil: Revelations.
The other new Capcom game out this week is Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition. The game adds four new characters to its roster of 39 fighters. In addition to Street Fighter III veterans Yun and Yang, the game sees a demonic pair joining the roster in the form of Evil Ryu and an even eviler version of Akuma called Oni. Returning fighters include Ryu, Chun-li, Juri, El Fuerte, and Rufus. The Arcade Edition of Super Street Fighter IV was made available on June 7 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 via a downloadable update.
Gamers looking to add to their copies of Call of Duty: Black Ops can pick up the game's newest add-on tomorrow on Xbox Live. The Annihilation map pack includes four new multiplayer environments and one new zombie level.
The new killing spaces included in the downloadable content are Hangar 18, Silo, Drive-In, and Hazard. The zombie level is titled Shangri-La, which Activision described as "an exotic and mysterious map."
Gamers looking to exercise in their living rooms can grab UFC Personal Trainer this week for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii. A spin-off of THQ's mixed martial arts fighter UFC Undisputed, UFC Personal Trainer offers fitness routines designed by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. The programs also feature input from top MMA trainers like Mark DellaGrotte, Greg Jackson, and Javier Mendez, who have conditioned the likes of current UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones, current UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez, and former UFC Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir.
Specifically, the game will factor in more than 70 different exercises that are designed to improve strength, endurance, and conditioning. The game also includes 51 prebuilt exercise routines, and users can create their own custom regimens from a selection of 12 exercises.
THQ has paid particular attention to the Kinect version of the game, which factors in the device's voice-command technology. The Kinect edition of the game will also include nine exclusive workout routines.
Long-range shooter fans can grab Sniper: Ghost Warrior this week for the PlayStation 3. The game shipped for the Xbox 360 over a year ago and has sold over a million units on that platform alone. The $40 PS3 game will come bundled with a host of system-exclusive content, including weapons, maps, and game modes. Additionally, City Interactive says the PS3 version of the game features "fully upgraded gameplay and graphics."
For further details on the week's games, visit GameSpot's New Releases page. The full list of downloadable games on the PlayStation Store, Xbox Live Marketplace, and Wii Shop Channel will be revealed later this week. Release dates are based on retailer listings and are subject to change.
