I remember playing OoT for the first time (since it wasn't all that long ago, was late to the party and played it on the gamecube zelda collection that came with early purchases of wind waker), it's just one of those games that feels right. Normally I scoff at graphical updates but they've done a pretty good job and some areas you just feel like it needed updating anyway. Since you can get a free CD if you order it and register it soon it ended up better value for money than it could have been too so pretty awesome.
New release slate led by 3D remake of Zelda game, horror-themed shooter, Square Enix's action RPG; Shadows of the Damned, Cars 2: The Video Game also out.
It's a busy week at retail, as several high-profile new releases hit the market this week, including a 3D remake of The Ocarina of Time, the third F.E.A.R. game, and Square Enix's latest action role-playing game.
First out of the gate this week is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D for the 3DS. A remake of the critically adored Nintendo 64 role-playing game, Ocarina of Time for Nintendo's newest portable will leverage the system's dual screens, touch functionality, and 3D support.
Also out this week is F.E.A.R. 3 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game is the third full-fledged installment in the first-person shooter series, which began in 2005. The forthcoming game will continue the franchise's storyline but will add an all-new divergent co-op mode that will let players assume the role of one of two characters. Players can step into the shoes of Point Man, the genetically engineered supersoldier who appeared in the first F.E.A.R. or his brother, Paxton Fettel, who has telekinetic powers.
Gamers looking to play Obsidian Entertainment's latest game can grab Dungeon Siege III this Tuesday for the Xbox 360, PC, and PS3. The game is again set in the kingdom of Ehb, where the balance of power between rival factions has fallen apart. Players will take on the role of a member of the disgraced protectors of the land, known as the 10th Legion. With the kingdom tearing itself apart, the Legion is tasked with rebuilding its numbers and restoring peace.
In April, publisher Electronic Arts delayed Grasshopper's horror action game Shadows of the Damned to June 21. The game tells the story of Garcia Hotspur, who goes on a trip to hell to save his true love, Paula. His travelling companion on the long, hard road through hell is a foul-mouthed demonic skull named Johnson that can morph into a variety of guns and is also effective as a torch.
Also out this week is Disney Interactive's Cars 2: The Video Game for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PSP, Wii, DS, and PC. The game took its inspiration from the Cars 2 film--due out on Friday--and has players zipping and zooming around exotic destinations across the world.
Lastly, gamers looking to play the season finale of Telltale Games' Back to the Future adventure game series can grab the fifth episode--OUTATIME--this Thursday for the PC and Mac. Further, gamers who pick up the final episode can expect to hear the voice of actor Michael J. Fox, who played Marty McFly in the Back to the Future.
For further details on the week's games, visit GameSpot's New Releases page. The full list of downloadable games on the PlayStation Store, Xbox Live Marketplace, and Wii Shop Channel will be revealed later this week. Release dates are based on retailer listings and are subject to change.

OoT is so fun. The 3D is cool but when you turn the slider to 2D and the edges of everything smooth out....wow! It looks so awesome.
Lucky going to get fear 3 when out uk this friday but i had to say zela sold a lot on its first wk but not much than it did back on n64 but sold number 2 in uk and for dragon serige 3 only was 9 in uk. But looking forward to the last game fear3 i know going to be last because they working on new project this is the end of fear must buy.
I'm getting Dungeon Siege III tomorrow. The demo was pretty good and Game Informer already has their review up 8.0 that's more than good enough for me.
I bought OoT 3D yesterday, and I'm absolutely loving it. This is the first time I've played it (I was never into Zelda as a kid, okay?) and I definitely regret not playing it before. If you own a 3DS and have never played this game, you owe it to yourself to go to Target, pick this up, and get another game for half off (Street Fighter for me).
Definitely getting fear3. I'll wait on shadows of the damned since the replay VALUE will be pretty low.
oops, i'm late for my review of this weeks new releases here we go folks. Might be the most over looked game of this summer. after reading Gameinformers review http://www.gameinformer.com/games/shadows_of_the_damned/b/ps3/archive/2011/06/20/this-goofy-thrill-ride-to-the-depths-of-hell-plays-like-heaven.aspx this game has shot up to my number 3 of my must play games of this summer. along with LA Noire & infamous 2. Ya i know i'm behind :P.
I tried Dungeon Siege 3,and its really not good game.anyway looking forward to F3AR to get some spooky moments :)
Not a single game i want on this list. I am looking forward to Oot and the 3DS sales chart. This should be interesting.
@The_Capitalist for some people pc gamers doesn't exist. "F.3.A.R.--X360, PS3--Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment" gamespot
Dungeon Siege 3 is not good. It's a standard dungeon hack and slash with meaningless loot and a bit of a difficulty spike even on normal difficulty. Not only that, there's also the one thing everyone complains about not seeing equipped loot on your character. :x The dungeons are stock, the story is just one story with a different character which really ruins the plot and the voice acting isn't really good. :| Overall: Not a game I'm looking forward. If I want a dungeoneering game, I'll go get the original Diablo or 2 or even wait for 3. If I want a Diablo clone game that's good, I'll go play Fate. :? F.3.A.R: Not much here, if it's like the second then...yeah...it's not going to be great. If it's like the first one, then it's going to rock! Let's hope it has new and creepy thrills rather than the same old cheap stuff in the second game. Zelda Ocarina: Go look at the user score. Cars 2: Movie is going to stink (in my opinion) because of it's lack of the semi-emotional plot of Cars that has been switched out for a spy movie. The game? Got me, last Cars was actually decent so...who knows? :| Shadows of the Damned: Don't know, it has promise but you never know what will be good or a stinker. :? Trenched: Double Fine Productions. Nuff said. ;) Back to the Future V: I think it will be good, the entire series has been a great series and in this one we get to hear Michael J. Fox. :o Bonus. :D
@WllDan7: there are loads of reviews out for shadow of the damned already, and it looks really good, GI for example gave it a 9.25
OOT 3d for me. Did not know Shadow of the damned was coming this week. I love Suda 51's games but I am going to need a review for this one.
Once again we are treated like second class citizens. FEAR 3 is also coming to PC, which I'll be picking up. Dungeon Siege III, the demo turned me off, I was actually falling asleep when playing!
sometimes i wonder why when there's new game releases, we always just show the publishers names.. i mean come on.. at least mention the developers too, they were the ones who made the damn games..
Being a fan of the original Dungeon Siege games on PC I would probably be picking up Dungeon Siege III ...If I hadnt realised how utterly garbage it is from the demo that is. Ill probably just pick up Ocarana of Time 3d for the missis since she never got chance to play it on the N64.
