Pro tip: Go buy last years crappy edition of Madden and you'll be getting this years early. It never ceases to amaze me how people can get suckered into buy the same exact game year after year.

and I woudl like to interject some humor, but if any sports fans of Madden says anybody doesn't havea life because they sit in and play RPGS all day, then what is Fantasy Football? That's pretty much Dungeons and Dragons for jocks. and why sit in and virtualy play Football, when you can go to a store, buy a real football for 10 bucks and play a real game with real people?

Only thing I'm buying this month is Mafia II.

I want to get Scott Pilgrim, but the graphics look a bit........dated.

With the fall gaming season just around the corner I can't wait for this years gems to be here any week now.

haha 2K5 was the best but yea after the graphics these day it would be tough to go back. but dang that was a great game. i put in about 15 seasons in my franchise

If you actually played 2k5 today, you would be like....this game looks and plays like CRAP compared to what's out there today. 2K5 was the last great football game released. Madden is good but IMO it will never be better than 2K. Yet, every year I buy Madden. I do alot of competitive gaming and that's all my friends play. It's the same reason people eat McDonald. Everybody knows Burger King has better burgers, but, everybody eats McDonalds. This logic can be applied to VF/Tekken, or sub's/dubs.

I honestly can't stand sports series like Madden that come out every year essentially the same as the previous year's and make a boatload of money.

This game looks like it is going to be awesome, but idk man seems like the same every year though. It is really starting to piss me off. Bring on cfl 2k12. Let's go edmonton eskimoes

I'm tempted to get the new Madden. But haven't decided if i should. Mainly because I have not played Madden, since Madden 94 on the SNES. I still play it when I get a chance and Cowboys are amazing in it. That aside, is the new game any better than 94' and worth the price? I am serious, the last one I played and bought was Madden 94. Outside of obvious graphics update, is the playing any better? ^_^

@green_dominator Sadly, I know a lot of people who used to play football games every day. It also makes me feel weird when I walk into my dorm on a sunny day and see people playing them in the lobby and cheering. A few games a week is one thing, but since you can actually go outside and throw a football, it seems a bit pointless when there's good weather and you're with friends. Of course, I'm not one to talk. I spend most of my life indoors watching movies and playing RPGs.

@Steyrvolt NO, what's sad is all these people who get sucked into sports, They end up playing for the highschool team then on the college team then pro, none of that is bad in and of itself but to actually go out and spend 60 bucks on a game [you have infinite choices when it comes to games] to play football, and people told me I had no life when I was growing up..... Imagine living a life so devoid of anything normal that you would subject yourself to a sport 24/7 I could never do that.....

Scott Pilgrim looks great. I can't wait to download it.

@razorfett147 As a part-time troll, I care about peoples' opinions on things I hate, and I rip on them in order to get a rise out of them (as I did with you) for a bit of a laugh. I do not, however, care about peoples' opinions on things I like (unless I know they are close friends.) For instance, if you said that Final Fantasy 8 was the worst game of all time, and ripped on it in a thread I had praising it, I would neither care nor respond to you unless you brought up a valid point which I felt like discussing. Strangers' opinions aren't worth getting worked up over, and I find it funny when people do. As for me not wanting Madden to get on the right track; that is incorrect. I would love for Madden to be rebuilt from the ground-up into a better football experience, and if they did, I might even look past the monopoly and buy a copy. However, this will not happen unless people stop buying it every year (I know you're not one of those fools.) I spend plenty of time talking about products I do like, and I agree that it is usually more fun to do so, but today was a Madden-news-item day. Tomorrow I'll be back to boring old non-troll me; joking, laughing and frolicking with others. Unless of course, the iPad Nano is announced.

so what's different bout this one from the last? can ur players do their own little dance when they score a touch down? or can u jump into the stands and just beat the crap out of some spectator? if not, then this is just like any other football game...

@Steyrvolt You're entitled to your opinion just as anyone else. I'm not arguing that you aren't. My only complaint has to do with why so many ppl on the net (not just here) feel the need to constantly rail on something that they don't like or don't care about. If you really wanted to see Madden get onto another track, then I could understand the constant onslaught. But obviously once you've ridden something off, there's no point in wasting your energy on it. Maybe I just don't have enough time on my hands, who knows? I'd just rather spend time talking about games/products that I DO care about....but obviously not everyone thinks that way. I just don't see the value in trolling, and I never will. The last Madden game I played was 2009. The last year that I enjoyed at all was 2005 (I believe. May have been '04.) The 2K game was better, both of those years. A lot of us have friends/family who play it, so we DO try the newer versions. Are you saying that if you (my turn for an analogy) read a series of books, and the books were boring and repetitive except for the three or four books which tried something new, and the books were getting more and more stale, that you wouldn't judge the next book before it was published?

the only reason i am getting madden this year is because im taking advantage of gamestop's 40$ trade in deal because the games im trading in are just collecting dust..... im trading on nba 2k10 and midnight club la complete edition therefore i will get madden for 20$

I liked the demo, I think the players look better and I am glad they took the icons away under the players.

Madden is not only the biggest game of the week, but the biggest game of the month, and its going to have to sell well for this month to be better than last yet I bet.

You Madden haters are pathetic. Most of you claim to have hated it for years, but somehow you have extensive experience with Madden 11 (which hasn't even released yet)? BS. Most of you are bandwagoners. I do agree that buying NCAA/Madden every year is redundant and pointless......but no one is FORCING you to buy it every year, are they? Like those below, I buy a new Madden roughly every 3 to 4 years...and I've not been disappointed with my purchase yet. Those who don't care for it, feel free to go play something else. Random flaming on a product you don't care about it something that 9 year olds do. There are metric TONS of games I won't touch with a 20 foot pole...but I don't go around taking a dump on them in the comment sections every chance I get. Really.......get a life.

At our nidnight we will hold a Madden Tourney and also have a Tailgate Party of some sorts. But with Madden 11 being a basic upgrade the sells will make EA do a massive overhaul. WE NEED VISUAL CONCEPTS BACK under EA Partners to ensure that we get the best football game possible
