Shippin' Out August 7-13: Fruit Ninja Kinect
Very light new release schedule led by Halfbrick's downloadable Xbox 360 game on Wednesday; Spy Kids: All the Time in the World hits DS Tuesday.
The dog days of summer are in full swing this week, as only a very small handful of games make their way to release.
Leading the pack is Fruit Ninja Kinect, which will be released this Wednesday on Xbox Live. A motion-control-enabled version of the popular title for mobile platforms, Halfbrick's latest version of Fruit Ninja challenges players to slice up airborne produce while avoiding bombs.
Also out this week is the film tie-in game Spy Kids: All the Time in the World for the DS. Being released this Tuesday, ahead of Spy Kids: All the Time in the World 4D in theaters, the game has players controlling the new adolescent operatives in a platforming adventure.

So.. is Fruit Ninja Kinect an Xbox exclusive? It's called "Fruit Ninja Kinect", and doesn't use the same engine as the handheld versions... you know, like how Ninja Gaiden Sigma (ps3) was considered exclusive over Ninja Gaiden on the xbox...
You know what would look great on this list? Arkham City. But nooooo, 'they' have to jam that into the same six week window with BF3, Uncharted 3 and AC:Revelations and a couple other awesome things (Skyrim) that I can't be bothered to learn the release dates of cause there's no way I can play them all. But soon there will be whining about how sales are down.
What a bunch of little sallys. If you don't care, why do you post? I bet all of you are secretly doing a little sissydance, waiting for all these.
In the past this has always been the week that Madden comes out, and publishers have always left it alone knowing that Madden would get all the focus. EA moves it down a few weeks and thus you have a huge gaping hole in the release calender. I'm glad this August is such a weak schedule because September through early December will be madness
2011 has been a letdown for console owners thats for sure, in fact the last good release was nascar 2011 for the nintendo wii lol , the future only holds- a few to so , ---those being driver 5 gow 3 saints row 3 this whole year has been all 3ds thats for sure i have 9 titles at hand to show for that lol
Woot! First to comment and last to get laid! ;) Haha in regards to the story: Who cares? This game looks kinda lame imo, and it reminds me of Harry Potter on the Wii.
