Shippin' Out April 15-21: The Witcher 2 Xbox 360
New release slate led by enhanced console port of CD Projekt Red RPG, Trials Evolution on Xbox Live, and Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention for PS Vita.
This week's new release slate may not be deep, but what it lacks in quantity, it makes up for in prominence. CD Projekt Red's The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings - Enhanced Edition arrives on the Xbox 360 this week alongside another much-anticipated game, Trials Evolution.
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings - Enhanced Edition for the Xbox 360 is a direct sequel to CD Projekt's original and picks back up with professional monster-slayer and titular witcher Geralt following a failed assassination of Temerian royalty. Geralt then sets out on a quest to track down the king's attempted killers while continuing to pursue those responsible for murdering other witchers.
The PC edition received a 2.0 update in September, adding an Arena mode, extended tutorials, a harder difficulty setting, and various other updates, all of which will be included in the Xbox 360 version.
On the downloadable front, RedLynx Studios' Trials Evolution zips to Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday. A follow-up to 2009's Trials HD, the game sports 60 tracks spanning hills, valleys, rivers, and roads, as well as urban and industrial-type areas. The game supports four-player local and online play, as well as a track editor system and a means to share creations online.
Also out this week is The House of the Dead 4 on the PlayStation Network, multiplatform fighting game Deadliest Warrior: Ancient Combat, and PlayStation Vita turn-based strategy game Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention.
