Sengoku Musou 2 on the way?
Sources suggest the sequel to the Dynasty Warriors action game is on track for a PS2 release in Japan.
According to widely circulated reports, Koei may be making a sequel to its Sengoku Musou (known as Samurai Warriors in English) hack-and-slash action game. Details on Sengoku Musou 2 are scarce, but it is reportedly being developed for the PlayStation 2 and should have about 30 characters, both familiar and new.
Some of the new characters slated to make an appearance are legendary swordsman Miyamoto Musashi, Musashi's rival Sasaki Kojirou, and the shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu, whose regime ruled Japan for more than 250 years.
Koei is said to be planning to release additional information on the game sometime this fall.
The original Sengoku Musou was released on the PS2 in February '04 in Japan and last May in the US.
