Sega announces its online offerings
Sega outlines the online games it will be releasing this year.
Sega has released its list of games that will be playable online this year. Sega will release 10 online games across all platforms this year, including the first online games for all three current-generation consoles. In addition to the games listed below, Sega will release two more online games this year that have yet to be announced. Sega's online offerings for this year are as follows:
NFL 2K3 (PlayStation 2, Xbox)
NBA 2K3 (PlayStation 2, Xbox)
NCAA College Basketball 2K3 (PlayStation 2, Xbox)
Phantasy Star Online (working title) (Xbox)
Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II (GameCube)
"Sega is the undisputed industry leader when it comes to online console gaming," said Peter Moore, president and COO, Sega of America. "While other publishers are taking their first steps in online console gaming, Sega is already running full speed ahead, shipping our 16th title before they even ship their first."
We'll have more on Sega's online offerings from E3 later this month.
