not to be disrespectful here but i am glad that they are not putting away Hitman or Lara Croft and then forgeeting them because those are GREAT games right there and i would love for them to continue with the Hitman sequals and Tomb Raider sequels because i love them games sooo much..... nice job guys.....
Eidos parent SCi touts sequels during downbeat earnings report, says PS3 price cut needed.
With Tomb Raider enjoying a high-profile rebirth just last year and Hitman receiving a feature-film adaptation in November, it would seem foolish to pack those franchises away in the mothballs now. Little surprise, then, that Eidos parent company SCi Entertainment confirmed in its fiscal year-end results today that it has sequels in the works for both brands, as well as for other recent hits.
"We are looking forward with much anticipation to the sequels to Just Cause and Battlestations: Midway, which are already in development, and new versions of world-leading franchises Tomb Raider and Hitman," chief executive Jane Cavanagh said in SCi's year-end report.
That was the good news from the company's fiscal-year recap. The bad news was that the company posted lower revenues than it had the year before, and £30 million ($60.8 million) in losses before tax. For the prior year, SCi managed to turn a profit of £8.1 million ($16.4 million).
Steep price cuts on PlayStation 2 games were cited as part of the reason for the declining revenues, as the publisher had to allocate £14.5 million ($29.4 million) for price protection charges to offset those drops. That wasn't the only Sony-related headache for the publisher, as it also expressed concern over the near-term prospects of the PlayStation 3.
"The Board continues to believe in the long-term commercial success of PlayStation 3 but believes this may take more time than originally forecast by Sony," SCi chairman Tim Ryan said in the report. "The Board is of the opinion that the key driver to the acceleration of the installed base of PlayStation 3 will be a further hardware price cut."
As for the recent rumblings that SCi could be acquired, the company's only update was an acknowledgment that it has entered ongoing discussions with a number of possible acquiring companies.
Everyone who played Blood Money...the ending was truly amazing the credits rolling and you shake the analog stick to get up woooow!! i luved that game...matter of fact im playin hitman silent assassin >>contracts>>blood money
i have single hitman this is my favorite adventure game 4 real...to me its up there with GTA and the other greats...cant wait to c it on next gen consoles
yup i had hitman blood money awhile ago for ps2, and me and my cousin had some great fun with that game, now i might buy it again but for x360, just for some more great fun and achievments can't hurt :D
Hitman: Blood Money was arguably the most fun I ever had playing through a game. The settings and characters created an amazingly intense atmosphere
Hells YES! HITMAN ROCKS! BLOODMONEY KICKS ASS! more Hitman,More Hitman, MORE HITMAN! yeah about that hitman dying thing. When I first played it, I didn't realize that was the last level and you could play I just thought it was a credits scene. I was sad then infuriated that 47 just dies and that was that, then one day I went over to my local Hastings entertainment store and picked up a strategy guide on Hitman Bloodmoney and started to read it and saw that you can actually play the level, I found out how, then I went on and beat it on all difficulties even though the hardest one took me about five hours. LONG LIVE 47!
finally...hitman... and addition on what trusake3 said...it was DIANA who woke em up, she put something on her lips and then kissed him, then he wakes up making a Massacre...cant wait for another hitman :D
Hitman DIDN'T die at the end, he was injected with the experimental drug that slows his heartbeat down, if you played the game you should've hit the mouse button several times and he comes back to life, and THEN you gotta kill everyone, either running out of the church and shooting them one by one or using the priest as cover when he approaches you. You HAVE to FIND everyone on the map and kill EVERYONE, even the Priest, and then the game has a finale cut-scene.
wait i thought hitman died in Blood money. wasnt he in a coffin with his 2 guns? i thought that was the end of the series.
Cant wait for the next Hitman it should be rather amazing however what is up with the Ps2 getting the hitman trilogy but the Xbox and Ps3 didnt get it? Very bad decision in my opinion and I also think Kane and Lynch is another very bad decision. Hitman Good give us the trilogy too.
Just Cause 2!!!! holy crap, this game needs a next gen sequel. i really believe this game was overlooked by many
Why They Forget LEGACY OF KAIN ? it deserve next-gen game and i wonder why they make movies to games that don't have the best story that game will give like LOK .after LOK Soul Reaver (1999) i cant stop thinking about what the movie will look like if they make it .i wish it will bee soon .
they should really make blood money for the ps3.. cuz my pc crashes on the seccon assasination.. and so does the 5 other pc's ive tried it on :(
They are not even releasing Anniversary for the PS3, . . not good. I have it for the ps2 but stopped playing it when they announced it for the 360, Tomb Raider on the 360 spoiled me., thats how I want to play it , It looks horrible on the ps2 in comparison. A new Hitman will do really well on the 360, I can't wait. Oh, I refuse to buy another PS3 game that's not an exclusive until my controller rumbles. Ok Sony?
