Latest in THQ's over-the-top open-world crime series gets a release date for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360; new trailer inside.
Those craving a new dose of the over-the-top open-world action of the Saints Row series can finally mark their calendars. THQ has announced that Saints Row: The Third will ship for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on November 15 in North America. The date puts its launch one week after that of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and one week before the all-important Thanksgiving Day week shopping season.
No ratings information is yet available for Saints Row: The Third. However, judging by GameSpot's brand-new preview of the game, its patently ridiculous gameplay will be packed with M-for-Mature-ready content, such as giant purple sex toys and a "sexual magnetism" slider in character creation. As always, the game will come packed with silly violence, including the introduction of a human cannon device called the "manapault."
Developed by Illinois-based Volition, Saints Row: The Third picks up with the player running the Third Street Saints. Once a small-town gang, the Saints have grown to control the organized crime within Stilwater and even have their own brand, with licensed sneakers, energy drinks, and bobbleheads. However, the Saints' success has drawn the attention of the globally powerful Syndicate, a criminal fraternity that insists on a cut of the action. Players will adopt the role of a member of the Saints who must relocate to the Syndicate's hometown of Steelport after a botched bank robbery forces them to flee Stilwater.

Yawn, typical cliched CGI,with some god awful boring music, and the game just looks tired and dull and deja vu. There MUCH BETTER games out in November and this pile of dog doo will be forgotten.
Wrong time to come out when Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 come out in the same month. They should release it later.
Thank goodness I've got a good job and will be getting a raise before then. Man, I'mma have too many games to play.
@chris010000 Why would they make the car mechanics more realistic, when the rest of the throw realistic mechanics out the door...
WoW another silly release date.. Come on, release it in December, November is too pack with better quality games. There is just so much better games than this coming out in November. Do publishers even look @ release calender? Then when the game tanks in sales they wonder why.. Is December such a bad month for game releases, lol....
Decent trailer, horrid, horrid, "music". SR1's trailer had the kickass Saint's Row theme. SR2's had Real Muthaphukkin G's SR3 get's generic hiphop garbage. Bravo. :P
I have a feeling this will have a bad start to sales but when people finally revive their wallets it should pick up.

Good god. I will be buying 8 games in the span of 6 weeks. FIFA 12 Dark Souls Batman: Arkum City Battlefield 3 Elder Scrolls V Assassins Creed Revelations Saints Row 3 Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D Better start saving. I have half of them preordered and paid for already.
to bad its not a release this july for some summer fun. sr2 was awsome fun. a choice of a not so zoomed out 3rd person view would be a good improvement.
Too many games in the fall to purchase, might have to cut some. The only 3 I can afford it seems is Skyrim, Battlefield 3 and Saints Row 3. The rest will have to wait until 2012. My wallet's gonna take a big hit..
