Saints Row IV preorders get Commander in Chief Edition

Commander in Chief Edition comes with an exclusive weapon, vehicle, and outfit.
Players who preorder a copy of Volition's Saints Row IV will receive the Commander in Chief Edition, publisher Deep Silver has announced.
The Commander in Chief Edition will feature The Uncle Sam Suit, which drapes the player in a fetching stars and stripes ensemble; the 'Merica, which packs many of the game's weapons--such as the dubstep gun and rocket launcher--into one massive gun; and the Screaming Eagle Jet, which fires rockets from its talons and emits a powerful disabling shriek.
The Saints Row IV Commander in Chief Edition will be available globally at participating retailers.
In Saints Row IV, players have superpowers and moonlight as the President of the United States. One of the objectives of the game is to save Earth from an alien invasion.
Last week Volition said Saints Row IV's "juvenile" tone doesn't damage the game's sales potential.
Saints Row IV will be released on August 20 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. A worldwide release will follow on August 23.

Part of me thinks this SR will be utterly terrible.
The other part of me just peed with excitement.
There should be a gun that dramatically slashes social spending for the poor, but refuses to ever raise taxes on the rich.

I like SR but I still think I'm going to pass on this one. I feel like I sent Volition's kids to college with all the DLC in SR3.

1 Like ugh I dislike the new direction the Saints Row series has gone. Why can't they go back to SR2 and have a mixture of dark humour with serious impactful moments. Will pick this up during a steam sale at a low price.

1 Like Is anyone thinking that this is just a PR stunt just to see how many people will talk about SR? This seems too far away from the gang-gun SR game we're all used to...
@Elite_Bushido @VarietyMage I did, and it wasn't nearly as fun as SR2 - even the zombie thing got old, real quick. SR4 looks to be a complete deviation from the series, and as such, I'm pondering whether they're being serious, or trying to pull our collective legs.

4 Like Simply not into the premis of this game, I liked the first 2 after Saints Row: The Turd where the premise was not good at all and I'm going by what I have heard and read on the last game and the premise on this does not quite interest me at all.
11 Like @brxricano I admit, the first two were the best. I miss the whole gangsta style. I miss the semi-seriousness of the first two. I mean, SR2 actually had some moving moments in it. It wasn't just complete wackiness.
I did like 3, and I'm buying 4, but this direction, while fun and entertaining, is not the right one for the series.
I just wish the SR2 pc port wasn't so bad.

I kind of wish Deep Silver would do for SR4 what THQ did for SR3. If you preordered directly through the publisher, you got the season pass for free. Amazing preorder bonus. In all honesty, probably the best preorder bonus ever.

I love GTA for its attention to detail, realism, and freedom. I love Saints Row cause its just more fun. I will say that this game should have more side missions. Bring back all the old ones from SR2 and add some new ones.
Also its needs more clothes. I love love love shopping for clothes, lol.
P.S. SR3 had the BEST boob mechanics of any game.
