Rumor: Halo movie script a "tour de force"

Peter Jackson has been turned down on the account that he asked for to much money so bungie decided to have the director of 'Transformers' watshisname direct the halo move...

This movie will beat every movie on box office, and entertainment sales, maybe even the amount total made on launch day and so forth for Halo 3, definitely I personally am gonna watch and watch and watch this movie and buy the DVD, screw blue-ray.

2007 and no movie.

I have my doubts for the movie, but the movie will gore unlike the game....which is good because the game didn't have much gore. With the help of Peter Jackson, this movie just may work out right, unlike other movies that do bad based on video games.

Everybody says, "I hope they don't mess it up." Mess what up? There's NO reason why Halo should be a good movie. There aren't any interesting characters or plotl ines. Bottom line: video game movies suck. Halo should stick to games, where it's not even that cool in the first place.

I hope that new director is a spielberg in the making. If halo is done justice. It will be one of the greatest ever!

They shouldn't make movies of games. They should pump the money into.......games.

I rather have this movie have all the violence and fullness and be released on DVD than to be released in Theaters with a water down PG-13 movie. If all that is true...its going right beside my final Fantasy VII Advent Childrens movies along with all my other favorite movies.

This movie is gunna kick ass!! even if they dont make it exactly like the game and books idc im a huge fan.

bad idea guys... this will mess up every ones perspective of halo

well i for one am a true blue halo fan i have just about everything halo in my room ,i have all three books , which were awesome , and now that peter jackson is letting his studio that created the special effects and creatures for Lord Of the Rings , do the creature and effects for the Halo movie i am completey astonished ! , not only that , many halo game fans are probably not sure what happened before Halo and as El Mayimbe says it shows the Spartans fighting the covenant . (others like the Master Chief ) and the novels he was referring to goes in depth on how the chief came to be so read teh halo novels and that would get you a better understanding of what WILL happen at the beginning of the Movie Halo . AWESOME!!!!!

Well reading the review I'm starting to salivate from the mouth. Im a big fan of Halo but if they pull the bull crap half ass job like Wing Commander I'll be pis!

i cant wait...reading the effects of stuff like the flood, swords and plasma grenades this movie sounds like it will be a hit as soon as it enters the movies...i cant wait

Great movies have great potential at failing but I'm still looking forward to this movie with high expectations. This article has risen that bar.

the movie industry hasnt had a very good reputation with video games. while i would put my money on bungie before pretty much anyone else, if the movie does turn out to be crapness, it would just seem like such a waste to have the good halo name ruined I want it to be good, but if its not.... bad things will happen

Both SP and Halo movies look awesome...at this point. Between now and filming, either one could be seriously watered down into the mediocre video game movies we've seen too many times before. Let's hope these two stay pure.

sounds too much like the game and the novels all tied in to a movie form. with is cool for people who dont know halo.. true halo fans want new material what happens when MC gets back to earth at the end of halo 2 if halo 3 is the answer to are question then let it be. Just dont make a movie about something that every body knows already.

OMFG Ive read this a few of weeks ago this movie sounds soooooooo freakin cool. Finally a sci fi movie that won't suck. Hopefully Halo 3 will come out when the movie comes out.

First off, I'm getting a mental picture of the team during the begining of Fall of Reach when they kill all those grunts and stuff with shreader rounds and a Shiva, i think it was. And it looks CG. lol I personally believe this game is going to have to go CG. (Computer Generated, like the commercials on TV for Call of Duty and stuff, or toy story) CG will take a whole lot of areas to go wrong in, out. They would just need voice actors as opposed to finding those with fitting body characteristics and language.

Well, we can only wait and hope it lives up to the expectations.

To the guy that said that the movie is aimed at 17 year-old kids- first, a 17 year-old is not a kid. And secondly, how can it be aimed at kids? Have you even played Halo?? Besides, with the way Microsofts running the development of the movie, there's no way there gonna screw it up by aiming it at kids, especially not with Bungie's supervision. And why would Microsoft pay a script writer known for violent movies 1 million dollers to write it just to have it edited for kids in the end.

I'm still skeptical about a Halo movie. :| Waiting very, very patiently. Take your time P. Jackson. They better invest a lot of moeny in it. This movie will have to attract more people than only gamers.

i think a most entertaining movie for both the gamer and non-gamer audience would be a film more based on the novel Fall of Reach, rather than of the game itself. man i hope they don't f this up. i always envisioned in the past that if there were ever to be a halo movie, it should be done like the final fantasy movie. with that level of cg (so as to avoid those too-bad-so-sad live action renditions of games to film). but with peter jackson lending a hand....? *fingers crossed*

Hope it tells the pre-sequel of Halo, on how the Covenant and Humans met, the floods origins, and who the flip created the Halo rings and most importantly the beging of the whole story. So many things on my mind of the movie, they better not kill it with the movie and mess it up for all of its Halo fans! You know like on "The Lord of the Rings" movies, they always tell the presequel.( How it all began)

2007, better start putting X's on my calendar till the movie comes out. I wonder what will become of me in that one year.

With Peter Jackson executive producing the movie, I doubt it's going to blow a stinker.

I pray this doesnt turn out to be a doom....i dont know how many of you liked it but i thought it was awful...i dont see that happening with this movie...but there is always that chance...if peter jackson has any part in it..it should be good

I dont think they can mess this up. With all this pressure on them they'll HAVE to make a good movie.

If this turns out as awesome as they are hyping it to be idk if ill be able to get into the theatre to see it hahahah...but if they screw it up there will be alot of ppl crying about it..."oh i knew this would be terrible"....yepp...
