Rockstar working on five separate projects - Analyst

E3 2012: Michael Pachter E3 wrap-up note to investors says Grand Theft Auto label has a handful of unannounced projects in the works, GTAV release date reveal "virtually certain" to hit by November.
LOS ANGELES--Rockstar Games may not have any titles at this week's Electronic Entertainment Expo, but the Take-Two label is hard at work on a full slate of games. According to Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter, five Rockstar studio locations are currently working on their own discrete projects.
Pachter reported the tidbit in a note to investors recapping his E3 experience, in particular meetings with publishing executives. The Rockstar information came from Pachter's Take-Two management recap. Given the publisher's revenue expectations from Rockstar, Pachter said at least one of these Rockstar projects is certain to launch by the March 2013 end of Take-Two's fiscal year.
Pachter believes one of the Rockstar Games due this fiscal year is the label's only currently announced but unreleased project, Grand Theft Auto V. Given the game's absence at E3 this year, Pachter said a pre-holiday release this year is "less likely." However, he said retailers would likely be told of its launch three to four months in advance, "suggesting that a GTA release date announcement is virtually certain to occur by November."

2 Like I'm tempted to fall back on my old 'bring out GTA London '69 already'- but if it is anything, and I do mean ANYTHING like the godawful GTA IV then I'd rather they never went back to it. Bully 2 would be nice, but again- if the handling is anything like GTAIV, then it's a stone better left unturned.
I mean a prequel to John Marston's story. Well aware that red dead revolver was the first game in the series as i own it and really enjoy it as well.
i hope all are next gen including GTA 5

Max Payne sucked hard so I'm not expecting too much from Rockstar anymore. Just the same life-less open world games they've been making for 10 years

Agent is an announced but unreleased title GTA V isn't the only one, though you're probably right it's probably GTA considering we have a trailer out already

@TheEpicWAWfan I know. But it is just wishful thinking. I just hope if do another one, we don't have to wait eight years. But if it ends here, I'm happy with Max Payne 3.
@mrklorox Wish Frontier could resurrect 'The Insider' - remember the previews a few years back - that game sounded really interesting.
And although assets (and by that I assume technical) were reportedly sold to KMM Studios, Rockstar retains possession of the intellectual property rights.
2 Like After playing Risen Dark Waters and getting disappointed by it. I got an idea what if Rockstar made a pirate game similar to Risen. It could have a large map filled with random ecounters, ports as for shopping etc, uncharted islands to find treasure,etc,etc. The team that did Red Dead Redemption could do this game.
4 Like @firehawk998 LOL about a week ago I jsent Rockstar SanDiego a "mouthoff" on their site asking them to do that exact thing. The caribbean lends itself perfectly to rockstar-style open world games. Think about it - you've got seedy port towns, lush islands, spanish forts and colonial cities, swampy bayous, jungle-covered mayan temples - it's all there. Throw in some solid ship-to-ship combat, and make sailing and boarding other ships fun (I mean, who doesn't want to rope swing into another ships rigging?), and you've got a masterpiece waiting to happen.
The pirate era caribbean is also a literal gold mine for historical inspiration for story lines and characters. I mean, take your pick, but I've always thought that Henry Morgan's raid on Maracaibo would make a kickass intro sequence - it's like history went out of it's way to craft a sequence of video game events
@nomation29 @x-2tha-z Is he talking about Red Dead Redemption? If he is i think he said 3 because Red Dead Revolver was kind of the first Red Dead game :S
so, the new trialers will be come out by november right !
and the game by march of 2013 right !

@warhawk-geeby It's "doing the disappearing act" because it's a Rockstar North title, who is also the proper GTA studio. If they could only focus their A-team(s) on one of those games, it would be GTA5. After that comes out, we'll probably hear something about Agent, if at all.
2 Like New Ip? Lately everything Rockstar has put out has been golden. I'd love to see a new franchise in the works rather than the spewing of sequels.
5 projects mmmm Bully 2 , Red Dead 3 , Agent, i dont think max pynce 4 because they finsish with the series i think . GTA6 . But i think as well working some titles for pspvita.
All I can say is that one of those 5 projects better be Bully 2 once and for all I've been waiting and waiting for a sequel and its time for one now
even though its late i just downloaded gta iv: l&d so i wont get rusty in case this "does come out this year"
