Rock of Ages tumbles to PC September 7

Atlus take on tower defense arrives on Steam next week, PlayStation 3 debut set for release later this summer.

Rock of Ages hit the Xbox 360 this week, and Atlus today detailed the next stop on the downloadable game's digital world tour. The publisher announced PC gamers will be able to grab the game off Steam starting September 7, but PlayStation 3 gamers will unfortunately have to wait until later this summer.

A concoction of tower defense, Marble Madness, and art history, Rock of Ages has players engaging in a series of pitched castle-versus-castle battles. Players take turns controlling massive boulders in an attempt to bring their enemy's fortifications down, at the same time investing in upgrades for their own defenses.

Rock of Ages is being developed by Santiago, Chile-based Ace Team. The studio is best known for making Zeno Clash, the downloadable first-person action fighting game released on the PC and Xbox 360. It is also working on a sequel to Zeno Clash, but that project has no release window as of yet.
