[UPDATE] Video shows Harmonix staffer scrolling through entire song listing at Gamescom; artists range from Amy Winehouse to Yes.
[UPDATE] Harmonix has hilariously confirmed the entire Rock Band 3 setlist.
What we heard: Earlier this month the entire setlist for Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock leaked and was later confirmed. However, now it seems Harmonix is having a similarly difficult time keeping the soundtrack for its own upcoming rhythm game under wraps.
According to RockBandAide, a YouTube video from Gamescom showed a Harmonix staffer casually scrolling through the entire Rock Band 3 setlist. And thanks to the recording's high-definition capacity, community members at RockBandAide have been able to decipher the supposed entire track listing.

The official story: As of press time, Harmonix has not responded to GameSpot's request for comment or clarification on the matter.
Bogus or not bogus?: The YouTube video has been pulled, so GameSpot cannot check the validity of RockBandAide's claims. However, already confirmed artists and tracks for the game are all listed above, and Harmonix has previously confirmed that the game will ship with 83 songs, the total listed above.
Songs that should've been in this game Rush - "Limelight" The Who - "Who Are You?" AC DC - "Back in Black" Led Zepplin - "Stairway to Heaven" Black Sabbeth - "Iron Man" Fishbone - "Party at Ground Zero" Boston - "More Than a Feeling" I'm happy to see that Queen and Elton John made it though
LOL. The good stuff has been on various GH games for the most part. Plus, Warriors of Rock is Rock/Metal centric which is what I like more. FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH ON WoR FTW!!!
WTB better set list. Ugh. Might as well dump all the money for some hard rock DLC. Moar Metallica and A7X. Less Smash Mouth.
@Jerminitis That is assuming you have every music based game. For other people who might just pick up 1 it's for us to have all those great songs in 1 game instead of insert GH2 for freebird then insert RB2 for Painkiller.
really disappointing, I think its because most of these have some sort of back vocals, piano parts...so...btw what will happen to the old songs, will they support piano and back vocals too?
Between Guitar Hero and Rock Band, there's a TON of overlapping songs. For example, I already have "Crazy Train", "Free Bird", and "Du Hast". I wish the record companies couldn't sell the same song to the two different companies. Looks like i'll be waiting til the price hits $20 just like all the other music games.
Not bad at all really. I know it's an old song (But they do have Pretty Woman for DLC) but with a new piano added on, I would have thought they would have added Jerry Lee Lewis - "Great Balls of Fire". Who doesn't know that piano riff? Hoping for that DLC!
@funnysplay I actually think this is one of the best setlists Ive seen in any of the guitar hero and rockband games tbh with you. Its certainly better then guitar hero warrior's of rock's setlist
WHERE WOULD YOU GO WHERE WOULD YOU GO TIED UP TO A LASSO YOU STRANGE AS ANGELS DANCING IN THE DEEPEST OCEANS TWISTING IN THE WATER JUST LIKE A DREAM IMAGINE ALL THE PEOPLE LIVING FOR TODAY + 80 songs I don't care about.
@funnysplay There will be 2000 songs available as dlc at launch. The songs you like are probably on there.
Anyone know if we can Import the RB2 Library and our existing DLC like we could for RB1 ---> RB2 ? Nevermind, according to http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/11/rock-band-3-hands-on-preview/ we can.
Disappointed with the RB3 setlist... I think I may pass on this one and just await the DLC's.... wow, this one stinks...
I don΄t get what the people who make this set list are thinking... where are artists like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and other Guitar Masters? this game must be called "Pop Band", a lot al song already exists in GH
For some crazy keyboard, release any Children of Bodom song for DLC, and of course some Dream Theater :)
I was hoping for some Dream Theater... I only partially like this set list. I'm going to wait and play some of the songs before I can really judge how this set list plays out...
they need some andrew w.k. on here for the new piano. that would be fun to play on the other instruments too
Rilo Kiley OH MY GOD. This has needed to be in Rock Band since forever. SO SO SO excited for some Jenny Lewis :)
I wonder if they will ever remember they HAD a gold mine with Beatles Rock Band. Everyone and their mothers bought every album. They even squeezed that last $.99 out of me with All you need is Love. Maybe that was a sign of things NOT to come out. I would have bought every album. Ah well, at least we will get "HUEY LEWIS AND THE NEWS"!!!!
@ Nosferatu2894 Unfortunately, Led Zeppelin will never be in these games. They have a very stringy policy about who can use their music and what for, and so far for these rhythm based games it's been a firm no.
Its official...the Rock Band setlist kicks Guitar Hero's ass this time around. We have a winner! There's, like, 80% good stuff in here (as opposed to Warriors of Rock's 25%)
I really don't like this setlist to much to spend 60 dollars on it so I'll just wait until it goes down in price.
@shufflezoom I guess you forgot that "Maps" by Yeah Yeah Yeahs was already part of the track list for the first Rockband?
Does anyone know if the dlc already available to rb2 will be upgradeable to rb3? That would be pretty cool!
Why is the hardest button to button on here? the song is just about 2 minutes long, seven nation army would be much better. Bohemian Rhapsody is awesome. Where is Yeah Yeah Yeah's Maps and Melancholy Hill by Gorillaz?
I think I'll wait until Radiohead, Talking Heads, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Led Zeppelin get some time in the spotlight.
Wow. Some of my favorite songs are on this list. If this is indeed the track list, I will have to pick this up much sooner than I thought I would.
No Muse? The game has keyboards for crying out loud! Butterflies and Hurricanes and New Born would be perfect!
I'm still disappointed about the Bob Marley song they chose. I don't want sing some political movement song being a lazy white man in spoiled California.
no one notices that most songs that are actually good are on GHs caught in a mosh, beast and the harlet (A7X rules) smoke on the water, i love rock n roll, free bird, crazy train, missery buisness... ya see the only other songs that sound fun are bohemian rhapsody and before i forget
