Robert Griffin III named NCAA Football 13 cover star

Heisman Trophy-winning Baylor quarterback to grace cover of EA Sports' newest college football sim; gamers can vote for accompanying college legend.

Standout Baylor University quarterback Robert Griffin III will grace the cover of NCAA Football 13, EA Sports has announced.

Known in the media as "RG3," Griffin won the 2011 Heisman Trophy, led his team to a 67-56 victory over Washington in the Valero Alamo Bowl in December, and posted a strong 4.41-second 40-yard dash time at the 2012 NFL scouting combine yesterday.

Griffin will be joined on the cover of NCAA Football 13 by one of eight Heisman Trophy winners from past years. Beginning March 12, gamers can log on to the game's Facebook page and place their vote for Marcus Allen, Doug Flutie, Eddie George, Desmond Howard, Barry Sanders, Herschel Walker, Charlie Ward, or Andre Ware.

Developed by EA Tiburon, NCAA Football 13 is due out on July 10 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
