Resistance 3 due in 2011?

damn i actually wasent expecting r3 anytime soon since nathan hale dies at the end of r2 it would kinda suck to change the main character but hell resistance is a great ass game cant wait till the release lol

Resistance 3 should have Fall Of Mans gameplay but with Resistance 2 multiplayer,visual style and campaign style (without the Wraith and Splicer online).I prefered Resistance 2 all around apart from the Wraith and Splicer online,it completely ruins the Resistance gameplay.

I disliked the weapon wheel in R1, it gave way too many choices. I some earlier FPS's you could hold 3 weapons; a pistol, a rifle, and a machine gun/missile launcher plus you had grenades also. Can we go back to that kind of system for carrying weapons? I do like the 30 weapon choice and a better storyline and longer single player and co-op. get rid of the multiplayer please this isnt MAG.

Well they already had announced a Resistance 3 I work at Gamestop and there's going to be KZ3, R3 and InFamous 2 all supposedly too be shipped out in 2011 and so far KZ3 is street dated for March 2011 but will probably change. As for Resistance 3 please go back to how Resistance 1 was with over 30 weapons and how they told the story so well. Resistance 2 was great but you told the story horribly I only got info on what had happened to the area from the intels, plus don't kill the rest of the game for multiplayer; it was good but nothin over the top fancy and revolutionary, maybe put more guns to mix it up so everyones not using the same loadout. Plus please up the graphics on this, I don't care about the plants but the characters looked at times unbelievable and their outfits looked painted on especially when Hale is caught in the first scene. Should be great but has room for improvement don't fail us hardcore Resistance fans Insominiac.

I also hope they will go back and add trophies to the first one

why dont they support R1 with trophies coz i would love to play it again coz it was my first game to play on PS3 & it was an unforgettable experience to me.

i wish the 3rd will be like the first Resistance game (the story telling & the offline multi player)

i think the 3rd will take place at the chimera's home planet like killzone 2 coz judging from the ending at R2 they (Hale & he's partner) were in a strange planet.

Hopefully they'll go back to the way R1 was. The totally rebuilt the game for R2 and it was little to nothing at all like the 1st. Keep R2's co-op, but change the competetive multi player back to R1. And for christ sake, can we please,please,please get our damn grenade throw back!!!! Throwing a grenade on R2 was like a shot-put and was basicly worthless.

Hopefully Resistance 3 will be more appreciated than Resistance 2... my God... where's the love, people? Sure, KZ 2 is phenomenal, but there will always be the Resistance series for the PS3. Too bad people don't seem to care about Resistance 2 anymore. :(

R3 FTW!!! I guess since its probably going to be in NY, its gonna have much BIGGER chimera. hopefully Hale makes a return, and yes i know he got shot in the head in R2, but you never know what will happen...

R2 copied ideas from MW and MW2 copies ideas from R2. haven anyone notice?

I think it is true, and it's a late 2010, early 2011 release, which would be great considering the first was great, and the second was amazing!

for me resistance is still the best game for now i can't wait for it to come out i m sure it will be awesome cause R1 had 8.5 R2 had 9 and i hope R3 will finally gain a 10 over 10 !!

I'm not going to lie. I had more fun with Resistance 2 then Gears of War 2 :P To be honest, I want Resistance 3 to come even earlier! lol Oh wait what about SOCOM 4 and Killzone 3? :)

So that would mean "Battle: Los Angeles" is like a fake title like "Slusho" for Cloverfield, right? Or perhaps, it's just another alien flick and it is a great way to promote the third game.

Hopefully R3 will take place in Jap'n some nice verticality is what was always needed in Resistance 2's combat which is why i loved the Chicago section and hated the forest and flatter areas.

@nvidiagamer Umm can u stop defending one game because its on one system. As a multi-system owner i know all of said games are good, but i think anyone who has played uncharted 2, including Adam Sessler who called it "a game changer in the industry" "Greatest singleplayer experience i have ever played". I believe it innovated more than gears. While i love horde, it had a braindead story and didn't improve much over its predecessor. That is all

@EdibleFood Have you seen any footage of Heavy Rain? Its confined whereas Alan Wake is open like GTA.

@Nvidiagamer u should really read the reviews... Adam Sessler called it the "greatest singleplayer experience" Ever.... It clearly blends cutscenes with gameplay better than even MGS4, with much more gameplay. Gears of War 2 was a PoS to be honest... Gears 2 and Alan Wake are not even close to comparable to Uncharted 2 and Heavy Rain.... First of all they are completely different genres... Adventure/Shooter, Story Driven adventure/Action... All good games, however they dont deserve comparison

@nVidiaGaMer Umm no, gears 2 was a sequel to gears 1 and changed very little in the cover based shooting genre, Uncharted 2 is redefining the genre... Also Alan Wake is unreleased and all we have seen is clumsy movement reminicent of RE4 and mediocre cutscenes

HAHA and they claim Bungie is milking the Halo franchise....this series isnt even that great and they they continue to make them juss because they can....it's sad

i think resistance 2 was not as good because they brought it out too fast. it was still fun though and if R3 comes out in 2011 it might be good
