Special Ops mission arriving next month on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 for Capcom's third-person shooter; no mention of PC release.
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City hits retail next week, and publisher Capcom has announced that the game's first downloadable content will follow shortly thereafter.
Due out on April 10 as a free download for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, the DLC takes the form of a downloadable mission that puts players in the boots of the game's Special Ops soldiers. The content revisits the events of Resident Evil 3, specifically the moment where Jill Valentine battles the nasty Nemesis.
Capcom made no mention of the DLC hitting the PC version of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, which is slated to arrive on May 18.
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is due out on March 20 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Developed by Slant Six, the game puts players in control of a half-dozen special commandos employed by The Umbrella Corporation, the sinister pharmaceutical corporation whose unethical experiments caused the rash of zombie outbreaks in the first place.

I bought the game when it frist came out was really dissaponited in the game. I am huge fan of resident evil serious and was in haste and traded it back in. But after the dlc came and the bugs were fix with the ai glad to say it is great aging. But I would of done a few things different. I would of left each character special with combos and a there own skill tree. Plus would of just made it open world were u had to find all the evadinse and kill the survivers. Like dead riseing but that is my opion I would love to be a game tester for capcom. Thanks for reading my post.
Great game, a bit short but really good game. Looking forward to the spec ops DLC and this multiplayer mode looks awesome.
@baystatethrashr You can't email me back cuz everyone else can't see it? Don't know what books you read but the only books as long as mine are 1st grade books. So why don't you and anyone else who'd like to email me grow up first before we comment on here because I'm on the people's side. Excuse me for having a brain and a back bone. I'm still waiting for your email mr. maturity who reads 1st grade books. And if I'm wrong, anyone and EVERYONE is welcome to email to explain to me why I'm wrong. I'm more than willing to read what you have to say...
@baystatethrashr You called me out first smart guy and second, don't put this crap up in the comments unless it's related. You can contact me via email. No life? I posted on here over a week ago and saw your comment so posted in response... you kidding me? You still haven't told me how old you are but it doesn't matter. Most adults don't grow up anyway. It's NOT DLC if It's ON THE DISC...
@NEStosterOWN Complain about payed DLC, complain about free DLC. Do you have anything better to than whine on the internet? Oh and way to call me out on not having a life. Coming from the git that has enough time to write a book on GameSpot.
@baystatethrashr It's not free if I already paid for something that's already on my disc, smart guy. It's paid for. How old are you anyway? And crying would be as pointless as your comment. I'm simply speaking out to raise awareness and get people thinking. WE (meaning me AND you) as gamers are a community and if we don't start thinking alike, these new consoles are going to eat our wallets more than they already have. Games used to be 49.99 but I bet you were off still being breast fed... I hope.. You only see what's there. You don't see what is to come. I wonder how many other missions are locked away on this game disc folks purchased at a full price. And how much more are they going to take away in the future? Yea, I think I'll complain right here as long as I have the right to and everyone else who feels the same should do so as well. Contact me for all I care. We need to come together on this. If not, say good bye to borrowing games and guess what. You're gonna have to go back to talking to folks all over again and making something you're not too familiar with... friends... the real ones who came over and played co op while eating cheetos. :p
Maybe trugh free DLC's and free missions it wil compensate the game's so many flaws, one of the bigest being so dam'n short.4.35 min to finish, with crappy ending...CRAPPY!!!
@shorty0785 My store is having a midnight, so the one near you will most likely have one too. But it also depends on the store so it might not but odds are that they will.
Free DLC?? From CAPCOM? As in, Super duper ultra climax Street Fighter CAPCOM?? As in, Ultimate Megamix Redux Giga Marvel VS Capcom 3 CAPCOM?? As in, Street Fighter X Tekken Disc-Locked CAPCOM?? Well, this is a shocker, but that still doesn't mean i'll forgive them fo-- *Notices the short release dates between the game and DLC*. . . . I AM NOT IMPRESSED, CAPCOM.
hey dose anyone now if u can buy this game at midnight relasse? i love resident evil played every one didn't care to much for outbreak but its resident evil like call of duty u buy one and u get hooked on it u buy them all for the story
@BlackLense well if it'l be on disc None will be mad it means that they did nto finished it so they will give it for free, or they were going to sell that dlc on launch day but they learned from sf x tekken what is player rage :D
With it being almost a mounth from release i'm assuming its noy on the disc and sure its a "sorry" for the SF vs Tek DLC. Happy that its free but its a slap in the face given ita 2 days from release and they have 4 DLC packs already on the storefront/game marketplace for 400 ms points an higher...its the CE specials chopped up and people are already buying them up!
@NoHotAshes the controls have been completely revamped in this particular Resident Evil. It plays like most traditional 3rd person shooters and the controls are very responsive.
Meanwhile on TLC they are showing a lady addicted to drinking her urine........ohhh p.s. I cannot wait until tuesday to get this game!!!
Capcom and "Free"....... Too easy. Seriously though, I would like more companies to try such a model. Free DLC dropping 20 days after release means that most of the players that can get it bought the game new; consider it a bonus.
@surppo: Nobody is complaining about the free DLC, we're all just amazed that Capcom is actually giving us something for free. And some might argue that they're only doing it to make up for the SF X Tekken crap that they pulled.
i hate internet nerds, how can u complain about something that's free. is your life that screwed up that u hate on anything thats not the same as when your life didn't suck.
yeah, but when capcom says is free dlc what it means is already on the damn disk. A 104.00 kilobytes patch.
So..People are b*tching about getting free DLC? Why? Would they rather have something tacked onto the disk that is only half done? I guess some people are only happy if they have something to complain about.
Capcom has to be one of the strangest companies with their attitudes towards PC gaming...on one hand, their PC ports are well done with hardly any malfunctions. On the other, they seem to drop support the moment most of their titles release :?. Anyway, it's a little too early to tell if they'll abandon the PC version of this game...I'm just grateful there's a release for the game at the time being :P.
More garbage to d/l when it should just be on the disk. I am so sick of buying a game only to come home and have to download crap. But, on the positive side, at least it's freakin free.
@dxBIGBOSSxb Ah, what a terrible war that was. Shame that not many people knew of its existence. But, mine has survived through the Judge Judy Cataclysm of 2007, so we should all be fine. Now that I think about it, we should have a bunker party! I'll bring some Pepsi, hook up the good ol' PS3, and we'll all have a "blast"! (Get the intentional nuclear pun?) All of Gamespot can party while the world goes to hell!!
Why are you guys mads about free DLC? I swear people are sooooooo dumb nowadays. FREE is good. Be happy CAPCOM is listening.
Farewell to her life, Farewell to her home, "THIS IS" Jill's last chance for survival...this is her, last escape...
I was about to go on another huge "Capcom sucks" rant, but then I saw the word "free". Uhm, something isn't right here...
@UnwantedSpam Built mine ahead of time when I was in "The War of 1999". ... I still have nightmares of my brothers in arms running down the field, only to die horribly from what we called "The rush". when we weren't fighting those ugly SOB's, we had our own troops to worry about. I'll never forget the sneak attack that crippled our base, and killed everyone... except one survivor. It still haunts me you know... those words. "Nuclear Launch Detected!" Everyday I thank god for those bunkers keeping us alive, letting at least one trooper live.
lol "Specifically the moment where Jill Valentine battles the nasty nemesis" Oh yeah that was a classic moment. In fact it was a lot of classic moments. lol which one? :P
any free DLC is alright by me , I said this so I won't have to take a knee , I feel like a QB in RE !
You guys complain if you have to pay for it, and if a developer gives you DLC for free, you complain even more!! Gamers are turning into a bunch of spoiled rotten little brats that need to get bent over someones knee and get there a$$ beat
I laugh when I saw the combination of words 'free' and 'DLC' from Capcom. anybody actually naive enough to believe that capcom is going to give away the genuine DLC for free? speaking of genuine DLC, when was the last time they made one? the game isn't even out yet. it's probably another locked/withheld contents that should've been free in the first place.

Dead Island: Riptide might look like an idyllic zombie-fest, but it's little more than a frustrating mess of half-baked ideas and repetitive combat.
