Resident Evil 6 ships over 4.5M copies

Yes Hiroyuki Kobayashi there isn't a game that everyone is going to love but there are games that more people like then hate...These are called "good games". You see when more people dislike a game then like it we call that a "bad game". RE6 appears to be the latter. Really that's the best excuse you could come up with? lol I haven't played the game yet (I'm waiting until price drops) but something must be fishy. Nothing gets this much hatred for no reason whatsoever. If it was one rouge review I'd say "ok fine" but there are plenty who despise this game. I've even seen some later post-release reviews, like the game stations, where it almost seemed like they inflated the score despite the review being almost completely negative lol. Seriously the end of that review is like "we didn't really like this game but we can see how some people might enjoy it...so uh 6/10!".       

Having fun with the game. Would give it a 7.5 in my book :)

Don't buy this game and don't reward the stupid excuses from this developer.  They could have spent a few more months refining the games instead of rushing it out to get revenue.

Mix of feelings here, We need to be fair, Its not crap but also is not good is mediocre at best for me, i dunno if this 4.5 mll are from retailers or from final customer nevertheless encouraging capcom for giving something ehh is difficult although we need to take in consideration  the mastermind behind the original concpet of RE Shinji Mikami is no longer in capcom so people who unconfortable with the game should have expected this also is the sixt installment  they need to improve ,change some aspects and others keep for the saga could go on and thats not easy either i realize they invested effort in the game but I was happy when i rent it instead of buying it cause the installment dont worth the 60 bks and also since im a ps owner we wont have all dlc from it too. Hope they could do better in Dragon Dogma sequel

Games like RE, no matter the poor reviews, still sell, even if it's just off of name alone. I thought the demo was ok, but it still didn't feel like the classic RE that I craved. Maybe RE7.

What's baffling about these fanboys is they claim that people that don't like the game are "whiners,"  "trolls," or "asshurt," and yet you see them get so worked up over any criticisms about the game, even if the criticism is very constructive and legit (maybe that's due to the fact that they don't read it),  almost as if people are not allowed  to dislike what they like. 

Yes, they are people that act stupid when expressing their dislike for the game, but the exact same thing can be said about the fanboys that are defending the game. 

I know you fanboys are going to ignore this comment to keep yourself under the same beliefs that I pointed out, so thank you for proving my point.

what how? Every japanese person bought it? xD omfg 4.5 m copies? What the ? WHAT? xD I know nothing of the console market, I'll admit it now. I estimated like 1-2 million copies of this game... I was clearly wrong. xD

The fanboy is strong with this one. It's a real shame they don't refuse to buy the game until Capcom is forced to re-evaluate the series. But then again that would be the reasonable thing to do and fanboys are far from reasonable.

The user score for this game is 7.0 and 7.4 on the consoles. I would much rather trust that score than the one Gamespot issued. I've found the user score to be the most consistent when it comes to the actual quality of a game.

The game is a mix of hits and misses, but in my opinion nowhere near as bad as other games marked at 4.5/10, including the atrocious Resident Evil : Operation Raccoon City. However, the difference of what it is and what could have been, has left a lot of people disappointed.

I thinik people bought this expecting it to be better than RE5, and were sorely disappointed. Don't think the series will survive with more of this

Same thing happened with Operation Raccoon City. The game is a piece of sh*t but Capcom considered a huge success because it sold well. Capcom doesn't care anymore about the quality of its games, it's all about the money.

That's fantastic but I could bake 4.5M cupcakes...and if no one eats them because they taste like crap, what's the point?  You can make a lot of anything (land fill of Atari E.T. games anyone)...doesn't mean it's good.  Once word gets around, which it is, RE6 will be a bargain bin resident (see what i did there?).  So far everyone who's got their hands on this game has been seriously disappointed.  RE games are inherently survival-horror, once they turned this franchise into a Michael Bay button mash fest, it lost its magic... Its a real shame.

Lol, the "eternal truth" of reverse relationship between critical success and commercial success is fulfilled with RE 6. I suppose Capcom will beat its chest for making such a good game and promise to make sequels that are similar to this one, since people clearly liked this one so much. Well, you gotta give people what they want, right?

Just got the game today and was blown away.Been a fan since the first one and glad to see their moving in the right direction.The game looks fantastic and gameplay is solid.They are picking up news fans which is great leave all the whinny ass ones behind.As far as the review here come on its gamespot.Its like taking advice from a 12 year old.For a real review go to gametrailers which is more professional.I believe gave it a 8.8 which is about right.Anyway the game is full of action and horror very good mix with each campaign.Biggest launch for capcom ever and nice job on RE6.
