The first true expansion for Resident Evil 6 will launch December 18, Capcom has announced. Xbox 360 players can grab three new multiplayer modes--Predator, Survivor, and Onslaught--for $4 each or bundled together for $9. It was not announced when these modes will be available for the PlayStation 3 version of Resident Evil 6.

In the game's Survivor mode, when killed, players will respawn as an enemy character able to attack human players. Predator mode has one player taking on the role of the Ustanak, trying to take down human players.

Notably, it appears Capcom has done away with the previously announced Siege mode for Resident Evil 6 in favor of an Onslaught mode as the third game type included with the DLC.

The Onslaught game mode has two players going head-to-head trying to clear waves of enemies. Putting combos together will be crucial to victory, as doing so sends enemies onto their opponent's screen.

Siege mode, on the other hand, was to have one side protecting a single non-playable character pitted against enemies attempting to kill that NPC. A Capcom representative said Siege will be available at a later date.

In addition to the new game modes for Resident Evil 6, Capcom will release the previously announced camera-adjustment title update for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on December 17. In addition to allowing users to expand the in-game camera to a greater field of view, the update will introduce a new "extremely challenging" No Hope Left difficulty option. On top of this, the update will add a new option that allows players to combine English language audio with subtitles in different languages.

Lastly, the December 17 update for Resident Evil 6 makes the Ada Wong campaign playable from the get-go. Previously, her campaign was playable only after players completed the game's three other story arcs. Additionally, a new co-op partner will be added to Ada Wong's campaign, though gamers can play through the missions alone if they wish.
