The wii is total crap. the idea is good,but the console isn't,neither does it have the games to back it up

Well, lets get the crystal ball out, Nintendo says there will be a limited supply of Wii's at the end of September, then says the price will not go down, then we magically see ads in the news paper for thanksgiving saying that a large shipment of wiis were acquired and Best Buy, Toys R Us GameStop have hundreds, people run out because they have been hyped. Buy Wii for christmas at full price, in march a price drop and then in the summer talk of a new fantastic new Wii with better graphics, faster processor, more memory a hard drive. Oh yea I can not wait to see the lemmings running out and get a Wii. Lets see 10 years ago went to stores and saw tons of tickle elmos after its hype it sell it for christmas.

The only games that might get PS3 sales up are HAZE and L.A.I.R.Sucks to be Sony.Go Microsoft then Nintendo!! :P

I wonder what these "eight 360 exclusives" are... until now, most of the so called "360 exclusives" have also come out on PC... Also, although the Wii continues to sell more than other consoles, its software sales have been very low (compared to the existing user base). Many people buy the Wii solely for Wii Sports - and probably will buy Super Mario and Mario Kart.

I honestly think MS supports HD-DVD solely enhance HD movie and tv downloads on X-Box live. While HDDVD vs BR wages on, they're growing their download business and attracting more and more studios to release titles on it. This eliminates the need for HD-DVD or Blu-Ray if you own a 360. I think the major appeal of this plan was the fact that PS3 was more expensive so they could market it like, "play all your favorite games and watch all the latest movies in HD for $XXX less than Sony." Sony's major and constant price drops have probably thrown an wrench in that plan though.

What proof is there? I'm not asking Nintendo fanboys, I'm asking REAL gamers! No there is no proof that this will happen. With blockbuster sales of Halo 3, there's no doubt that 360's demand will be higher than Wii's last I checked, the game is still dominating sales charts and I suspect it will continue to throughout the holiday season, Check back next month. If Halo is still on the chart's then those doubting it will be proven wrong. I'm not going to post on why I didn't buy a wii and why I never will because it will give malajusted fanboys an excuse to report abuse just because I don't like their indispensible console. Granted I don't really believe in GS anymore, if anyone beside fanboys believes this nonsense then take note that this website actaully called the "Bungie leaving Microsoft" rumor bogus and then having the nerve to spin as "Bungie leaving Mircosoft to develop 3rd party titles on other consoles" when the truth is that Bungie will remain exclusive to Xbox 360.

Of course I will chage it to PS3, Wii games fading away troughout time!!!. So I will change it to a PS3, Xbox 360 will give me a redring, after I play it for a while!.

I doubt it, with Halo 3, COD4, Assassins Creed, PGR 4, NFS, The Orange Box, F.E.A.R. Files, etc. out and coming out for the 360! MS will dominate, with Nintendo second, and Sony last.

Without SSBB i dont think itll do as well, itll still prob lead the holiday tho

I'm sorry, but i'm still not jumping on this Wii bandwagon. I said it before, and I'll say it again, the wii is a fad. And honestly, no real game (aside from metroid, smash bros and galaxy, what else is there). Itll get old eventually... us 360/ps3 followers will just have to wait until the wii finally dies. stupid wii.

Sony should just give their system away for free and hope game sales make up for it! Sony is in trouble, Xbox is rising, Wii is soaring high already, and 86 games is a good number of new titles in just 3 months time...

Still find it funny that people think that the PS2 is more powerful then the Wii, when the Wii is 2 times more powerful then the Gamecube, and the Gamecube is 2 times more powerful then the PS2...i mean this sad sony fanboy bashing of the Wii has to end ok. lets face it, like i said before love it or hate it the Wii is a run away success and can be called nothing but that. Hilltops: I'm not a PS2 owner myself, but I think it's a bit odd that you call it an obsolete console. It does still outsell the PS3, after all...

Nintendo already said they will continue to stay "sold out" and are going at full tilt for production so sales will be static compared to the last few months. By comparison I think they may be underestimating the 360 sales. Further they say it's cheaper to develop for the Wii but they need to keep in mind if you make a 360 title your 80% done a PC port and vise versa. Might cost a bit more but it makes for a significantly larger customer base to sell too.

Although there are plenty of wonderful games coming out for all of the system's this Christmas, everyone seems to be missing the big picture with Nintendo's Wii. While I will agree that there aren't very many GOOD ORIGINAL games on the system, there are plenty of, and continue to be plenty of, older games that many people have played in the past. Couple this with the fact that many of these people who played these games when they were kids now have kids of their own, and you have a winning strategy. People will buy the Wii for their kids and buy virtual console games for themselves. Also, if you look at the list of games that are being developed for the Wii, you can see that many of them were canceled/postponed indefinitely. This has largely to do with the fact that motion sensing controls are new and very hard to work with. Case in point, I've played with the PS3 sixaxis and must say that they did a remarkably crappy job with its motion sensing capabilities. Overall, while the Wii may not have the best graphics or game library, it does have an overwhelming potential to be the best system for a very long time.

spelledarn: Are you kidding me? Nintendo isn't competing in this generation because it doesn't have too! Despite almost a year jump on the Wii, the 360's sales have slowed to the point that the Wii sales are now #1 worldwide. Not competing? That's because the Wii is dominating. And before the flames and the hate rain down... just look at the numbers folks. Don't hate me because I'm right. Kobugodo... they also forgot to mention that of the 47 x-box games, only 75% of people will play them since the rest are still waiting for their replacement Xbox!

They forgot to mention that out of the 86 Wii games %90 of the titles won't even break 100,000 unit sales. The quality of Wii games is going downhill fast... so much crap is coming out on it....

I was a nintendo fanboy until the original playstation came out. For the most part during that time I tried everything. Even the virtual boy. I still have all my nintendo systems. Including the wii. I never really play it though. 360 is my console of choice. Perhaps I will get a PS3 when it's worth it. I have awesome memories of Twisted Metal 2. Anyway great job Nintendo you deserve it.
