This reminds me of a great old NES game called "Jackal" it even had co-op play and vehicles that looked like those in Renegade Ops, maybe the developers are fans of that game? I like what I've seen so far, and I may just get it when it comes out.
Renegade Ops firing up this September
Avalanche Software's $15 downloadable Xbox 360, PS3, and PC game; new trailer inside.
In March, Sega announced that it would publish Just Cause 2 developer Avalanche Software's first downloadable game, Renegade Ops, sometime this fall. Now, the publisher has tightened the game's release window, saying Renegade Ops will be released this September.
That's when gamers can pick up Renegade Ops on Xbox Live, the PlayStation Network, and on the PC. The game will sell for $15 on all download hubs, but gamers can also pick up four copies of the game for $30 through participating digital partners. The deal expires when the game launches.
As for the game, Renegade Ops is a cooperative shooter that sees players commanding a variety of vehicles as they rain down destruction on a terrorist group headed up by the matter-of-factly named Madman Inferno.
Renegade Ops will let players form commando teams of up to four players online, though it will also support two-player split-screen on a single system. Although the game is being designed as a co-op-focused shooter, it will also include a single-player mode.
