Renamed Ford Racing sequel signed for US
Empire Interactive announces that Ford Racing 2 will be published by Take-Two Games in North America later this year.
Empire Interactive has today announced that the game formerly known as Ford Racing Evolution will be released in North America through Take-Two Games later this year. Ford Racing 2 is currently in development at Empire's Razorworks Studios and will allow players to race in a number of different licensed Ford vehicles, ranging from classics to futuristic concept cars.
"Ford Racing was a best seller in the United States, selling over 500,000 copies on the PlayStation alone. Empire will build on the experience gained in developing that title to make Ford Racing 2 an even bigger success. We are delighted to be working yet again with Ford as we continue to grow our global brand portfolio," said Ian Higgins, CEO of Empire. "Take-Two is the natural partner for a game such as this, with their experience in the US market. We have worked closely with them on previous occasions, and we have every confidence that Ford Racing 2 will be a success."
Ford Racing 2 is scheduled for release on the PC, PS2, and Xbox later this year. For more information, check out our previous coverage of the game.
