RE5 dated on PC, RE4 lurches to iPhone

RE-Degeneration on N-Gage was pretty good. But my buddies N95 has keys, so I am cautiously optimistic. 3D Resi would be mental, imagine an executioners axe swinging in over your shoulder, oh gosh!

@GenkaiSIX - I dont know why your previous post was rated down either.. anyone who does not live in fantasy land realizes that even though pirating is not exclusive to PC gaming.. it still is a major inevitability(look up Spore people). IMO people pay so damn much to have a competent gaming PC that some do not have the patience to pay for games that actually make use of it.

@BloodMist - Have you actually played the PC versions of previous RE games?? They were a mess.

Definitely getting the PC version. Better graphics, more control options, more exclusive features- Once again as with DMC4 and SFIV the PC is still the port King (if done properly; Capcom: still mad at you for lousy ports of DMC3 and RE4).

I looooooooooooove resident evil. Beat RE5 and loved every second, if they pull off a good transition for RE4 on the phone, I will definately have to check it out. =] Bring on RE6 and spinoffs! lol

its not going to be as good as the ps3 and 360 version. but its still going to be great on pc.

@ giddyupgroudon "THE PC IS NOT A GAME SYSTEM!!!!!" Well, basically, it is not, your right. But with all the great classic you can get on the PC, the computer should not be ignored. Starcraft, Warcraft 3, Heroes of Might & Magic 3, Black & White, Neverwinter Night, Diablo etc... With all these games, I think we should consider the PC as a gaming system. As for Resident Evil 4 on PC, I wasn't able to play the consoles version, so I picked up the PC version (it was the last one in EBGames) and sure it's not technically as good as the console version, but with a good controller, RE4 on PC is sure as fun as the consoles version.

why are people lambasting the pc for being a pirate-heaven? the xbox 360 has long been taken advantaged of not long after its release. i think the question should be whether to pirate and have a following of these illegal copies or to support genuine ones and abhor illegal duplication. IMO, i think the pc is far more superior to any console out there. And giddyupgroudon--where have you been since the last decade or even century? Of course, the pc is a game system lol. It had been ever since before the first consoles ever came out.

@ Giddyupgroudon Man are you silly, Resident evil 4, devil may cry 3 and onimusha 3 on PC were all ported by Ubisoft who did a really lame job on these titles. Devil May Cry 4 and Street fighter IV were done much much better when capcom brought them to the PC and I expect resident evil 5 to work on mid machines and Ultra machies without losing much touch. The PC is a game system, Alot of consoles simply took what was amazing for the PC and adapted it to consoles. soon the PC will be the more superior machine if Onlive can live up to it's talent.

Finally PC gamers get their fair share, as if waiting for a different version of the game wasn't bollocks enough

I just finished RE5 benchmark and it ran perfectly on the highest settings, i just hope that this game will support mouse, unlike RE4, gameplay on the benchmark was played with a gamepad so that scares me a little.. even if it doesnt ill get it, even though i havent played a shooter with joystick since quake 2 on PS ONE ..

Gamespot is very slow on the news ...

Game runs great. Just ran the benchmark on windows xp. e2180@3ghz, 8800gt@stock (forgot to overclock since I reinstalled drivers), and 2gb ram. Got 61.5fps at max detail at 1024x768. Haven't tried with higher resolutions yet. P.S. - for those who haven't been reading up, yes, the pc version does include full mouse support, and from what gamespot has said, it seems to work very well.

I got Degernation on iphone,well it didnt really work.. RE4... im not keeping my hopes up i guess. They have milked the RE4 cow way too much.

RE5 with KB&M is gonna be quite fun.After playing well done ports of both Lost Planet and DMC 4, i know it'll be a fun time for all. :D

Ubisoft's port of RE4 was unacceptable and downright insulting to anyone who handed over money for that atrocity. Even after Ubisoft patched the game it was left to the public to fix the game up to the standard's of the console version. It was one of the most pathetic ports i have ever seen in my life. If Ubisoft is anywhere near the RE5 port i'm not even going to bother downloading it nevermind paying for it. Then again pretty much every Capcom game ported to PC has been a disgrace to PC gaming, Ubisoft or not. Who knows, maybe they will get it right with RE5 but don't hold your breath :S

RE4 rocks (played it on PS2 + RE5 Even rocks more as played on PS3) good graphics + the best game play for both of 'em Cant wait to get my hands on Iphone RE version as it will ROCKKK 2...no no...ROCKKK 3...lol

@acsam12304 i live in Iraq and i own a PS3, but do you know that the X360 sales more than the PS3, despite the fact that many get the RROD, the X360 sales more because it's games are pirated and it's worth 1$, while the PS3 games worth 40-100$. Even the pc games are sold here for 1$, i despise the people who pirate games cause i can't play online with a pirate game. And as you said gamespot should something about shade1978x.

i checked the benchmark, very optimized and looks incredibly good....seriously it looks very good on pc, but judging by the movements of the character it looks like there is no mouse support or its played with gamepad

@GenkaiSIX do you have any census facts to show that a lot of people ONLY pirate PC games? or are you an other one like shade1978x. that is so ignorant to see that console versions of games are pirated and burned to disc and sold off to people for $1 LA does it. mexico sure can. i remember once a very long time ago i play MGS3 on some kids chiped PS2 and he said he got it chiped in LA and got the game for $1 and it was burned on a DVD+R disc. i think you need to shut you mouth in subjects that you are so clue less about.

@shade1978x i guess you are one of those console user who dont know jack $H!7 about pirating games. not only there are PC games out you can get for free but also you you can get console versions on burned DVDs and Bluray too. you are so ignorant when it comes to that issue. and also maybe for saying what you said i should report you to teh FBI for confessing to a crime u are going to commit! go to LA and tell me how many places u can get a "chip" PS3, PS2, PSP, DS, Wii, 360, X-box, and get burned games for them all for a $1 each. im sorry gamespot but really he is so $tupid for saying that! you should punish him and report him to the FBI for confessing for a crime he is planing to do.
