Rayman Origins sequel outed - Report
Purported Ubisoft marketing survey polls gamers on follow-up to 2011 platformer with ghosts, Greek gods, and dragons.
Rayman Origins may be getting a mythology-focused sequel. An anonymous tipster sent Kotaku screengrabs from an Arkenford marketing survey, which indicate Ubisoft is preparing a Rayman Origins follow-up with a range of fictional creatures.
The survey reportedly indicates that a Rayman Origins sequel will bundle a number of new features, including "legendary worlds" brimming with castles, vampires, ghosts, Greek gods, or dragons.
On top of the fresh additions, the survey indicated that a Rayman Origins sequel would retain the original's four-player drop-in, drop-out co-op and 2D visuals.
Rayman Origins shipped last November to a warm critical reception for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii, with subsequent releases for the PlayStation Vita, PC, and Mac. Ubisoft has not announced future plans for the series, and as of press time, the publisher had not responded to GameSpot's request for comment.
