Ratchet & Clank Collection drops August 28

PS3 $30 bundle includes HD updates for first three installments in Sony's sci-fi action platformer series, early access to Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time demo.
Those looking forward to Insomniac Games' next Ratchet & Clank adventure can jog their memories of the series with a new compilation next month.
Sony today confirmed that The Ratchet & Clank Collection will launch August 28. Priced at $30, the compilation will contain the original Ratchet & Clank, Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, and Ratchet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal. The PlayStation 2 games are being remastered for the PS3 by Idol Minds (Pain) with the help of Insomniac Games.
All three games will sport full 1080p high-definition visuals, stereoscopic 3D support, and trophies. Additionally, the new version of Up Your Arsenal will include the same competitive multiplayer component that was a new feature for the series when the game originally shipped in 2004.
In addition, Sony today confirmed that those who purchase the collection will be granted first access to a demo for the upcoming Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. Set for release this fall, Thieves in Time will have players meeting up with the titular raccoon's ancestors through the use of time travel.

I'm so excited about the Ratchet & Clank collection! I just pre-ordered it, I'm a big fan of this series from the PS2 days and i can't play it on my ps3, so i am extatic that there coming out with this collection on the PS3!! and plus TROPHIES!! woohoo!
awesome...... just incredibly awesome..... because im going to pre order this collection and it is going to be awesome already.... the reason why i know is becausei love this frachise and every game company is awesomely incredible...

1 Like @higherflyerJ The irony is I bet the games you play the most are also on PS3. My friend was in the same bout as he loved PS2, and got a 360 cheap and played a lot of SF, COD, Madden, etc. When he got RROD, he got a PS3. He wanted a Blu-Ray player for his HD set really bad though. :P
1 Like @SolidTy It is true that most games I play on 360 are also on PS3. If I could go back 7 years I would have gone with the PS3, though. Ratchet and Clank, Sly Cooper, Uncharted, Infamous, etc. are much more appealing now than Gears of War and Halo. I feel it's too late to change and it kind of sucks. I own over 100 360 games lol and that's not including Arcade titles.

Does anyone know, can you change the way the camera behaves on these new HD updates? like left moves right, right moves left, left moves left, right moves right?

I'm so torn about this release. I love Ratchet & Clank, and had these games when they were new, but I just couldn't get into the Sly or Jak collections.

And the prices for a compilation are cheaper than buying the games used at Gamestop, for once. Works for me.
Hell to the Yes!!! makes no sense making us wait 3 flipping months when they already released it out in EU. damn Greedy Bastards.

I already have this game. Some of the cutscenes display in a 4:3 aspect ratio, the game doesn't play in 1080p and there's a strange floating helmet bug in some cutscenes. It could've definitely been. Ether.
2 Like $30? And a Sly 4 demo? Instant purchase. My PS2 controllers are falling apart anyway.
