PS Vita officially launches in Malaysia next month

With Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore already selling PS Vitas, gamers in Asia are wondering which Southeast Asia countries will be next to officially launch and sell the PS Vita. Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong recently announced that it will be releasing the PS Vita in Malaysia on May 9.

The Wi-Fi version of the portable device will be sold in the country for RM1099 ($358). Pre-orders for the device will start from April 30 to May 8 at Sony Shop and Sony Centre outlets in the country. The official launch event will be held on May 9 at the Pavilion Shopping Mall, Kuala Lumpur, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The public roadshow will be held from May 10 to May 13.

The official accessory pack will be available for RM149 ($49) and will contain a case, a protective film, a cleaning cloth, a game card case, and a wrist strap. The prices for the memory cards are as follows: the 4GB version for RM79 ($26), the 8GB version for RM99 ($32), the 16GB version for RM189 ($62), and the 32GB version for RM309 ($101).
