Prototype 2 for PC delayed to July 24
Windows version of open-world action game will debut three months after Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 iterations.
Protoype 2 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will ship on April 24, but gamers eager for the PC version will have to wait three months longer to play the shape-shifting open-world action title.
A post on the game's official Facebook page from developer Radical Entertainment revealed the news but offered little other information. The company did not provide a reason as to why the game was delayed but noted that more details will be shared with the community "soon."
Prototype 2 is the sequel to 2009's well-received open-world action adventure title from Radical Entertainment. It is set in the fictional world of New York Zero and casts players as Sgt. James Heller, an ex-soldier tasked with taking down the protagonist of the original game, Alex Mercer.
