Pokemon Stadium Sequel Rumored
Nintendo is planning a follow-up to their popular Pokemon Stadium series.
Several sources are reporting that Nintendo is currently developing Pokemon Stadium 3 for the Nintendo 64. The game would be the third installment in the series in Japan, and the second sequel to Pokemon Stadium in the US. However, Nintendo of America representatives could not confirm the game, saying that if there was another game in development it certainly has not been confirmed for the US.
Pokemon Stadium, which shipped for the N64 in the US in March, has been at or near the top of video game sales charts virtually since its release. In fact, according to NPD TRST Data, Pokemon Stadium for the N64, Pokeman Trading Card for the Game Boy Color, and Pokeman Yellow for the Game Boy, currently holds the top 3 position in total video game sales.
