Portable device costs THB 11,990 ($384); preorder bonuses include Uncharted case and LittleBigPlanet seating mat.

Thai gamers may not need to parallel import PlayStation Vitas anymore, with Sony Hong Kong announcing that it will be officially selling the device within Thailand on September 14.

The device alone will cost gamers THB11,990 ($384). The value pack that will also come with Uncharted: Golden Abyss will cost THB13,990 ($448), while the bundle that contains the Vita version of LittleBigPlanet will set customers back for THB13,990 ($448) as well.

Gamers who preorder the Uncharted bundle will get a Guillemot Thrustmaster Uncharted case and PS Vita t-shirt, while those who preorder the LittleBigPlanet bundle will get a LittleBigPlanet seating mat and LittleBigPlanet luggage bag.

Sony HK will also hold a launch event and public roadshow at the Central Grand Rama 9 building in Bangkok from September 14 to 16. For more information, head down to Sony PlayStation Asia's official site.

In other news - cracked version of the PSVita set to launch this november, probably from around the same area.

A LBP seating mat... really?  I can't imagine anyone outside of Asia actually wanting that as a pre-order bonus.

brazilian consumer is the worse. a psvita costs 1300 reais here (equivalent to 650 dollars). neither games nor memory card. the cards will only be available for retail in about 2 weeks.

Someone really really REALLY needs to introduce Sony to the concept of currency exchange

I went to Thai during the summer holiday. almost everything there (food, taxi fare, hotels) were around 25-30% of what I normally pay in Singapore. but I noticed that gadgets there were priced more or less at the same level with the rest of the world, not just PS Vita.

So the average Thai will have to sell off their farm and cattle to buy a vita!

Yeah, that's a fair wad of cash still for most people living in Europe etc but I'm thinking that's a massive amount for those folk in Thailand.

If the Vita tanks there, Sony are heading towards a world of hurt as far as the Vita is concerned.

I didn't know anyone was even interested in the PSVita. I still haven't seen anyone with one, or even talking about it.

I'm still waiting for Sony to release a patch which will integrate Vita trophies to Playstation 3 i.e. join both together.

Sony, though, seems to want to get the Vita out as far worldwide as possible before releasing patches for it.

Still waiting...

Because the piracy rate here is so high that the PS2 support is impossible in Thailand and it took 4 years after PS3 launch for sony to support Thai market once again.

PS Vita support is much quicker than I thought.

But no matter I already bought vita and now waiting for the PS store to open for it!
