Knowing my luck Playstation Vita will launch Dec 17th 2012. Sony says early 2012. But I am patient So by the time PSvita does launch here there will be lots of games. Sony and crew have the time to get the key PSvita titles ready.

I pre-ordered the PS Vita, and I received an email directly from Sony saying that my order has been delayed until the 15th of February...leading me to believe that the 15th of February is the release date. This is totally unofficial, but it sounds on-par.

just push start has already updated their blog saying it's a fake.

there is no reason to release a console when they probably dont have any games translated yet - they dont wanna make the usual mistake all consoles do and release it with barely no games and i dunno why this article was even put up since its totally bogus

@FusionRain Not really. I actualy do have a PSPgo, and used MediaGo, and nearly all UMD titles made prior to the PSPgo launch do not have a corresponding PSN download version. (and import only titles such as Project Diva 2nd and GundamvsGundam Next+ are outright unavailable due to Sony region locking the PSN) Even many games made after the PSPgo was released didn't have PSN versions (KH Birth by Sleep, for example) The UMD attachment or voucher program or whatever Sony promised to give UMD owners was broken, as they could not convince game developers and themselves to convert UMD versions and upload them onto the PSN. Many also, claimed they did not want a digital version fearing greater piracy, which is a joke, and also that (in the case of Square-Enix for example) the DRM was so severe that it would make a digital version imposable. Another lol to that. ISOs anyone?

i will get one after the earlie price cut like 3DS, Uncharted is the only title that worth, it s not enough .

Sony is not releasing it sooner because they don't have enough volume to do so. Duh. I have no idea why you guys keep asking about that. Welcome to the world of video games. Expect delays.

@Jessica_M_C Well not really, they said their would be someway of getting your UMD's onto that PS Media Go thing and get the titles from there. I don't know the process of it, or if it even works but I know there is allot of PSP titles for download.

Well I see this coming, but there's a solution: Why not buy PS Vita in Japan this December? Isn't that there's an English language mode set-up to choose? And they claim all games will be region free, so there you have it that is if you can't wait for NA release date.

I'm expecting a Feb/March launch based on the Japanese launch date. Just wish they'd make an announcement so I can plan my finances!

I could wait another year or more for the PSVita. I'm in no rush. I've still have lots of PSP games to play and the PSVita isn't backwards compatible. I'll get one eventually, but definitely not anytime soon.

That's a long time to have to save some Christmas money... I have a feeling if they tried to release it before Christmas there would be way too large of shortage and way too few games ready. They need to not repeat the launch the 3DS had as far as games are concerned. It is too bad they are going to be launching at a time of year when people are recovering from Christmas spending. I have a feeling sales are going to reflect that. I would guess a lot of tax returns will go toward this a few months later though.

@shadowhunter0 I here ya there man. If there is no hard evidence then it's false. Most of the time I look for the source. Too many times have I tracked down rumors to a link that was down or the website was stating "thoughts" or even rumors themselves. Some people will say anything for a story. Also Sony has stated many times that they will let people know when they know themselves. I don't think there will be an event or anything. It should just be a interview and a post on the PS Blog. I think they might just be confirming all the launch lineup for US and Europe and getting ready for Japan's release.

I am surprised Sony isn't releasing the Vita in NA and Europe in time to cash in on the Christmas season sales. February does seem like a bad time since many people will still be recouping from Christmas. It doesn't take a degree in business to know this, I work in retail and January and February are always very slow. If Sony was smart they would of released the Vita around the first of December, although maybe the tsunami caused the Vita to be delayed.

For what I believe is a fact, it won't any later than March. I wish it woul be January, though. Btw they're smart not to release it here near Christmas, what with the deluge of high profile games across all the systems.

I was hoping for January but i don't mind i'm broke anyway. @Spartan_418 Launching in Feb instead of April means more time on the shelf, no point letting the supplies sit in a warehouse until the next holiday season.

Feb 28 or Late Jan, and i'm all smiles. That would give me time to finish these upcoming ''Triple A'' games and trade in some towards it, lol...

@FusionRain yeah same here I don't believe in rumors like that one false rumor that allot of people believed it that Sony cut the ram in half and I just had a feeling that it wasn't true and I even found evidence that it wasn't but some people believed in it so much they simply overlooked it hell this guy keep on saying it was fact but yet kept on giving links that said it was a rumor and I still thinks he believes it even though Sony themselves have stated it that it was false
