I'm buying the Vita, my first handheld since the GBA, no matter what the price. I hope it arrives here in the UK this year, I can't wait to get my hands on it!

hmm battery issue? according to various game websites sources the battery life will be 6 to 7 hours and for playing this an portable device ,it is used when u go outside or waiting somewhere or when u r traveling u cant keep ps3 with u secondly about the games when unchantred released u played also 2 and now 3 also then why will u not play on vita if it is an new story dont forget there are many new new franchise also coming bioshock vita,cod vita etc.

Yes Sony Yes, the sooner the better just make sure uncharted and MNR are there at launch and I'll be happy.

@shadowhunter0 Well, obviously. I loved MHFU but gamespot thought it was mediocre (6.5), everyones opinion is different. But did anyone think wipeout pure was a stunning masterpiece? Or modnation racers? Maybe the do, maybe I'm wrong but thats not the impression i get

@CorruptGamerGX Okay, sorry, maybe I jumped the gun there. But still, some of those don't even show up when you search Playstation Vita on Gamespot. So its not exactly common knowledge. Regardless, hopefully most of those are launch titles.

@phoenix729 just because you think those games are mediocre doesn't mean everyone will think that

@burgeg I don't mean mediocre in the true sense of the word, they won't be bad but they aren't going to be stunning either. Like the 3DS launch titles, there were good games in there but without a stellar title beside them, they just look....mediocre. All three titles you mentioned already appear on the psp and they're just very ordinary, perfectly playable but don't leave a lasting impression. I loved 2097 but when I played pure on the psp it didn't light my fire in the same way. Gravity looks cool, a bit too japan-y for my liking though. Did you notice in the first gameplay trailer that she is standing on the wall but her hair and scarf are still attracted to the ground, whats going on there?!

@EVIL346 - I'm glad you can see into the future and save me some money. However for people who travel a lot and spend night after night in hotels clearly a new, more powerful handheld would be a good thing!!!!!

@phoenix729 first off both uncharted and LBP aren't going to be ramakes they are entirely new games and second with the vita you can play those games on the go plus there are tons of more great games announce for it I just don't want to list them because I sure somebody already has and I can't wait to play ruin on both the ps3 and vita

Well the UK people are lucky if October 28th is their launch date. Here we are supposed to get PSvita on November 4th 2011. Lucky UK people.

@phoenix729 - Did you honestly just call Littlebigplanet, Modnation Racers and Wipeout mediocre? Really? If anything, Uncharted is the least appealing of the games I just mentioned imo. But hey maybe those games aren't your thing I guess. Still, whether you like those games personally or not, it's a bit ridiculous to call those games mediocre. Personally I'm most interested in the other game I mentioned. The fantastic new ip called Gravity. Check out the gameplay on youtube. Looks really cool and original. I won't say it's a guaranteed stellar launch title like the others I mentioned because those other games are proven franchises, but if the gameplay so far is any indication it's going to be the sleeper hit of the launch lineup.

@grbolivar Its also, worryingly, more expensive then a ps3 @burgeg Really only uncharted is going to be bringing in the crowds. The others are faily mediocre titles, similiar to most of the 3DS launch titls (in quality, not content). However, one game is better then no games! And that screen is going to be unbelievable, just thinking about MH on it is a glorious prospect

Clever stuff... Just in time to make all the little kiddies want one for christmas cus their friends have one. I'll be waiting until next year unfortunately, got to save my money for November. Expensive month!!

@zaiwen - You're obviously confusing the Vita with the 3DS. You see, the Vita already has loads of great games coming on launch, and the once that aren't launch titles are in the launch window. Gravity, Uncharted Golden Abyss, Wipeout, Littebigplanet, Modnation Racers to name just a few of the surely amazing ones. Just because the 3DS had such an awful launch lineup doesn't mean the Vita will do the same. Nobody is going to complain about the lack of games for Vita at launch because *gasp* it actually does have games worth playing at launch!

Announced titles for Vita are Uncharted: Golden Abyss, LittleBigPlanet, Sound Shapes, Gravity Daze, Little Deviants, Ruin, Reality Fighters, Broken, ModNation Racers, WipEout 2048, Dragon's Crown, Hot Shots Golf, Super Stardust Delta and I can keep going on. @phoenix729 unlike the 3ds the vita doesn't suck or have crappy games in which allot of them are remake the vita has great games announce for it and it is ps3 on the go well worth that price and but is this way you can play a with ps3 graphics anywhere you want

If nintendo can't shift a £180 handheld, sony are in serious trouble when they try to sell a £280 handheld! Seriously, that's a riduculous asking price. The handheld gaming market really is in trouble though, for that price I could buy a top end smart phone and play games at a fraction of the price. At least nintendo have some fairly dependable sellers (mario, zelda etc) that have wide appeal and, crucially, you won't find anywhere else. Sony really only caters to the harcore market, the kind of people not really into handheld gaming in my experience. For comparison, when the Vita launches it will sell at $460 compared to $195 for the 3DS (UK prices converted). You have to be a serious Sony nut to think thats a good deal.

i cant wait to buy ps vita. 250 bucks is a great price for a hand held from sony. im gonna trade in my 360 slim and ps3 slim so i can get it cheaper. then i can play games anywhere in my house instead of on my 40` hdtv

@endorbr full gaming experiences like Angry birds. LOL, u made my day! XD Agreed, tablets, smartphones, vita and 3DS are all different beasts, I hope all of them do well. Gamers win in that scenario. XD

For the love of... Stop comparing the 3DS and the Vita. The only thing they have in common is that they are both handhelds. They aren't even really targeted at the same market. And tablet PCs and smartphones are not true competition for the Vita either. You don't buy tablet PCs or smartphones to play games. You play games on them but who would honestly buy one thinking: "This thing is gonna be awesome for games?" And trying to compare the "full" gaming experience *sarcasm* of such great titles as Angry Birds and Bejeweled to something like Uncharted: Golden Abyss... really.

Sorry but, the 3DS doesn't stand a chance against the Vita.
