@Super-Poke-Bros Nah that's not how it works on PS3. All downloaded content is availible to all users on the console. Which includes DLC and even PS+ content. I use my main AU account to play games and earn trophies and my US account to buy my games.
Sony's online marketplace updated with Playdead's puzzle platformer, fresh content for latest Fallout game; Fast Draw Showdown, Dead Block, Baseball Stars 2 also out.
The PlayStation Store is a hotbed for new content this week, as Sony added Playdead's dark platformer, new add-on content for Fallout: New Vegas, a cooperative zombie game, and more to the virtual marketplace.
Leading the pack this week is Playdead's Limbo ($15). The game is a puzzle platformer that has players controlling a silhouette of a boy searching for his sister throughout various dreary chapters and dark environments. The Xbox 360 version of Limbo won critical acclaim when it debuted last year.
Also now live on the PlayStation Network is the Old World Blues downloadable content for Obsidian Entertainment's Fallout: New Vegas. Old World Blues sees gamers forced into participating in a gruesome science experiment that also offers a closer look at the Mojave's mutated-monster contingent.
Gamers will be presented with the option of battling the maniacal scientists or joining with them to fend off "an even greater threat." The game will offer new opponents such as robotic radscorpions, as well as raise the game's level cap by five. Unlike other expansions, Old World Blues will let players keep their equipment.
Gamers looking for a full-motion video game can grab Digital Leisure's Fast Draw Showdown ($10) today. The title sports a number of improvements over the Wii iteration, including high-definition graphics, online leaderboard support, a new scoring system, and Western clothing for PlayStation Home avatars.
Zombies live on today via Candygun's Dead Block ($10). The Unreal Engine-powered Dead Block lets gamers play as a construction worker, traffic warden, or a very hungry boy scout. Players are tasked with surviving waves of oncoming zombies either by force or with strategy. Additionally, gamers can fight alone or with friends in the game's split-screen mode.
The final two PlayStation 3 games now available are from the Neo Geo era. Baseball Stars 2 ($9) and The King of Fighters '95 ($10) are now available to download via the Neo Geo Station, which launched last year.
Gamers looking to add to their games can grab new content today for People Can Fly's brutal Bulletstorm in the form of the $10 Blood Symphony map pack. The other notable new piece of DLC now available is a new character for NetherRealm's fighter Mortal Kombat, Rain ($5).
Switching to the PSP download hub, Sony added three new games to that spot today, the first of which is Square Enix's Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions ($10). The other two new games added to the PSP store are Baseball Stars 2 PSP ($7) and The King of Fighters '95 ($7).
Gamers looking to pick up a new PSP mini this week have a host of options. Sony added Angry Birds ($4), Athena ($3), Guerrilla War ($3), HAL 21 ($3), Ikari Warriors ($3), Marvin's Maze ($3), Me Monstar: Hear Me Roar ($5), Ozma Wars ($3), Sasuke Vs. Commander ($3), and Vanguard ($3).
A full list of the week's deals and new PlayStation Store content, including themes, wallpapers, demos, discounts, and add-on content, is available on the PlayStation Blog.
I would've bought Borderlands but I found out about Infamous 2 Hero Edition being $60 from GameStop. And then Bioshock 2 DLC goes on sale. Its like these people purposefully take everything I want to be on sale and put it on sale at the same time just to torture me.
I've been waiting for FF tactics lions war for ages for my psp I'm soo happy I'll finally get a chance to download it on my go! Of course I have the ps1 version already downloaded on my ps3 but the psp verison is so much better since the upgraded the graphics and fixed a few things from the orginal verison oh happy days!
@shaunn191 I think (but I'm not sure)... It won't be linked to his main account. He'll have to create a new User Account on the PS3, then link the new US account with that. Once he downloads the game, he'll have to log on to the other user with the other account everytime he wants to play it. Also, trophies won't register on his main account. Unfortunate :(
Limbo, 1 year old and 15$ is too much. Even if you add the PSN discount to consideration, i will wait for price drop and you guys all should. We should make a statement, I mean for **** sake we waited 1 year and its 1 year down so automatically the price should come down.
@lemonliam13 Just create a US PSN account and buy a PSN card off ebay and use the US store instead. .I just got Limbo for $11.99 using the welcome back PS+ offer, but $15 is still alright. I never buy anything of the AU store anymore, they just rape us with thier prices!
Finally! A PSN update worth taking note of! I'll be getting limbo, could just do with a little platformer to tide me over until the big games come out later in the year. @bigtruckseries Maybe so.. but at least the Playstation did get it, later better than never. Timed exclusives seem to be about all Microsoft can churn out these days, considering they're the market leader they're quite pathetic as of late.
What the heck .. $15 ?? I really want Limbo but for a really short downloadable game that's a bit steep .. I'll wait till it drops to $10 ..
Whats worse is that Limbo's $25 in Australia, while at these exchange rates, it really should be less that the US price, or at least in parity with it. I guess its just another way dev's get more money, by ripping off anyone who isnt in the US
:O wtf 15$ for limbo? Sneaky bastards they are indeed, because I'll be getting it anyways. I mean I should wait for a price drop but meh whatever. Damn it pretty soon everything is gonna cost a fortune, the increase in costs these past years has been crazy
Outland is only $9.99. $15 for Limbo? I think I'll just wait for the price drop, from what I have read so far Limbo is a very short game.
Old world blues reminds me alot of Mothership Zeta, which is a nice change of pace for the Fallout world :)
I'll wait for this to hit Steam... Then we will see how long that 15 dollar price tag lasts. (I'm thinking limbo for 85% off or maybe in a bundle with several other game for around $5.)
@bigtruckseries I didn't know you could buy a rotational value. ON topic nothing here I really care for. when's the next Dirt 3 DLC going to be out?
cant wait for limbo, have been waiting a while for it to come out, i dont really care that its 15$, thats how much a ad-on pack for black ops costed.
@jcopp72 I highly recommend it. It was a brief but ultimately wonderful experience. I played it on my friend's Xbox and I'm excited to finally have it on my PS3 and PC.
totally forgot Limbo was coming for PSN today. perhaps now is a good time to get rid of Alice and turn it in for a PSN card.
Definitely picking up limbo, even though i saw a full walkthrough on youtube.... still a must have =D
