PlayStation Store to return May 24 - Report

Really Gamespot where are you getting your info from and Sony get your finger out of your bum and make this happen like by tomorrow!!!

ITS THE 27th MAY Today AND PSN AND THE STORE STILL IS UNDERGOING MAINTENANCE :( :(

So it said the first update will be May 24, the second being on the 27th followed by May 31st. I'm not expecting it to, but hopefully we'll see it on the 27th :D

@armandoisgreat Then they really shouldn't be sending out memos that say 24th, should they? Just because Sony was stupid in believing developers wouldn't share that little memo ( especially when those developers have shareholders/investors that they need to provide with some sort of info to keep them pacified ), and thus make Sony look like fools when once again the PSN wasn't up, doesn't make it suddenly not exist. The fact that you quote their PR spin ( you know, those marketing guys who get paid to tell you "these aren't the droids you're looking for" ) when the facts are in front of you makes someone else appear to be an idiot.

@StingrayX5 Yes of course I own a PS3, I have the 120GB slim to be precise. Do you want me to give you photographic evidence to prove it? I just don't like PS3 as much as Xbox 360.

@UltimateRAGEX It says right there that Sony's rep said "we expect to have the service fully restored by end of the month. Anything other than that is purely speculative." Don't be an idiot.

@StingrayX5 See, I told you it won't be on when they said it will. Typical Sony. I'd rather they just tell us blankly "we don't know" because it certainly seems like that. Sony are just liars and you know it, you just don't want to admit it.

Today from 4:00pm-12:00am BST, the PlayStation Network will close and undergo further maintenance. Contrary to popular belief, the Network will not be back up tomorrow, and it is unknown if the PlayStation Store will come back up with it. A date will be given in the mean time.

yes Psn wont be back until 31st May only maintance today well this is getting stupid and i bet Sony will fire pp not getting the psn network back on since sony loseing money

I wonder how the download speed is gonna be after it gets back on, judging by the number of desperate people trying to get some free games, me included. :D

I just got my PS3 about a month ago, which means I only had a week of online before the breach! Well, at least I can add Infamous and LBP to my collection for free.

I think when they say the PSN store will be back on the 24th, the day isn't over yet in some countries around the world, be patient, i'm sure PSN will have the store by the time you wake up tomorrow =D

Well today Psn Store back on. When i swtich my psn on and press psn store it still said still in maintance. Sony said that be back on 24th May today is 24th. If there not going put it on today a lot lot lot angry playstation fans going to be piss off includeing me :[

@Iartomar2002 Not to mention all the other downloads people have been waiting to download after waiting for over a month... I bought a $50 psn card just before the outage and I am dying to use it :( I tried to access playstation wtore with media go and it doesn't work. Are you sure its up?

if you thought that playstation store downloads were slow WAIT! with so many people trying to download the 2 free games and demos and not counting the downloads from playstation plus it will take 30 days just to complete one download. i was able to access playstation store with my pc but not with ps3.

umm.. I just woke up and its 1:46pm i turned my PS3 on check the PS Store and it said it's still under maintenance. FML i've been waiting for this day and still no PS Store! I already bought a $50 PSN Card for my PS Home :|

I dunno. Iy should be a matter of few hours now, but still no news from Sony. Will they do like with the PSN restoration and announce it at the last minute? If so I think Sony's PR really suck lately..

I just tried launching ps store on my pc and guess what? its still under maintenance!! so much for this update to get my hopes up.. actually I knew it wasn't going to be up already, after the 10th time I've been told it was going to be up

The Store is down but so that means I can't redeem any codes either? I was trying to redeem codes I got for pre-ordering L.A. Noire (on one disc as compared with 360's 3-disc version) but I wasn't able to. Guess I'll just have to wait.

@DanBoiani Your just being hypocritical. It's nothing new for different countries to have laws that conflict with each other. You don't have to agree with it but doesn't change that Sony has to follow their law. Beggars can't be choosers.
