PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale delayed one month

Sony mascot fighter to be released on November 20 for the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita; extra time to be used for additional polish and tuning.
Gamers won't be able to pit Nathan Drake against Fat Princess until November. SuperBot Entertainment president Chan Park today announced on the PlayStation Blog that PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will miss its previously scheduled October 23 debut, instead landing November 20.
Park said delaying the game for about one month will allow the studio to spend additional time polishing and tuning the fighter. Additionally, the developer said it plans to incorporate feedback from the game's current limited beta.
"While it is our greatest desire to put this game into the hands of our fans as soon as possible, we do not want to do so at the sake of quality," Chan said in a statement.
The closed beta for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will go public this fall. A specific start date for the public beta has not yet been announced, but PlayStation Plus subscribers will be the first allowed in.

The delay doesn't bother me that much. At least I'll have other upcoming games sooner than that to play in the meantime.
Really? After the success of Smash Bros, they couldn't make this a 4 player beat e'm up? Or at least a 2v2 like Marvel vs Capcom.
1V1 fighters were fun in the 90's.
I'm somewhat appalled by the fact that the Big Daddy is in this. Bioshock was not a PS exclusive, and as a big fan of the series wish I could see my favorite icon put to better use.
1 Like I haven't kept up with this game, but as Sony's all-star team I thought I would see Crash and Spyro on here. Although the games seems decent enough.
I hope it turns out as good as I expect from Sony Studios...if not, I'll just keep playing SSBB.
This was the date that I had originally expected Playstation All Stars to launch. I'm good with Nov 20th, If Sony wats to make this game as great as can be. Super Smash bros clone should be the best it can possible be.

1 Like @Samox I'm sure Sony ask 2K Games for his inclusion for this game just like how Nintendo ask Sega for Sonic's inclusion in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Though it does seem kinda weird, if it was me I would had prefer Crash Bandicoot as he was intended to be the original PlayStation mascot.

Thank you for not pulling an EA/DICE and trying to rush the game out the doors before it is ready. I would rather wait a month and play a polished game than a buggy game.

1 Like Not going to lie... it looks kind of boring... I try and find some clips of two players fighting but so far it looks like a Super Smash Bros. rip off with very little innovation... and since when was Bioshock a PlayStation exclusive? And only 12 characters so far? Hopefully there are a ton of secret characters or this game will get boring VERY fast.
@Rickystickyman 12 characters isn't really anything to sneeze at. If you have too many characters in a game then their playstyles pretty much blend together and then nothing really sets them apart. But there are most definitely more than 12 characters.
4 Like @Rickystickyman You obviously haven't followed the hype train whatsoever. The game isn't based around only PlayStation Exclusives, it's based around games that have an impact on PlayStation's history. You could argue that Big Daddy is more Xbox, but he's the only one.
Also, we already know 20 characters (remember the huge leak that was confirmed?) and we also know there's more to come.
As a Beta player, I can say it's not as fun as Smash Bros, but it's hard to compare because they feel completely different. Other than their initial concept, they're nothing a like gameplay wise.
The Title is too Long winded if you ask me. and the Into theme sounds off tune to this game.
Sony be better off calling it "Playstation All-Stars". The Roster looks okay at best, but having a delay doesn't always mean a good thing, having a delay could mean delaying the awful inevitable.
