People talking about "rip-offs" a funny subject. Take the fps genre for example, imagine if fps games hadn't "ripped off" Wolfenstein, Quake, Doom, Goldeneye 007, Medal Of Honor or Halo? The genre would have gone stale ages ago, this is no different. The similarities between PSAS and SSB are as similar as those between the likes of Medal Of Honor, Battlefield and Call Of Duty; the similarities are there but mechanically they're very different. If your still not convinced, fan have wanted a decent character crossover brawler and kart racer on another platform outside of the Nintendo bracket, Sony have responded. If they're getting stick for responding to fans than I say they should definitely get more stick because from where I'm siting it's a good thing. Especially seeing as for the most part, I've outgrown the Nintendo systems I loved as a kid because the good games are few and far between now sadly on their platform.
@MEDzZ3RO RIght on....Its about time sony took a risk with this game.Nintendo isnt the only one who can do games like that and as soon as people realize that and shut up we will be stuck in the past. What people seem to miss aswell is that this game will have far better graphics than any smash bros game and will be playable on ps3 on an hdvt and look good.I hate how picky gamers are sometimes..What would they say if Nintendo was actually helping with the game.
The problem is, this game looks terrible. The game play actually put me to sleep. SSBB actually looked better. The only thing this game may do better is play online better, as the lag with SSBB was terrible when it launched. Yes, this is obviously a ripoff of SSBB. You'd have to be a blind idiot not to see that. Sony is even using characters that aren't known for fighting (PaRappa the Rapper?). I'm sure Nintendo got a good laugh when this was announced.
