meh, steambox will have a much better interface than both the xbox and ps4. I will personally not be getting a games console at launch again since every games console I have had has broke on me after 2 years. I am going to wait for ps4 slimline. I never buy microsoft products anymore because they all suck
New PlayStation 4 images show off streaming tools, social features, and video sharing.
Sony has released a new batch of screenshots showing off the PlayStation 4 interface in greater detail.
The nine images show off a variety of features, including the PlayStation 4's video sharing options, live streaming tools, and social feeds.
Also shown are images of watching a PlayStation 4 live stream via mobile, as well as browsing through game information from a tablet.
Sony announced the PlayStation 4 last week after months of speculation. The next-gen console will be available later this year.

So I guess something similar to my gorgeous dynamic FLOWer theme will, at best, be all covered up by those tiles? Maybe it's just me, but I like the XMB. Simple, easy to navigate and well organized.
well no ads and free online play with some of the geikai features Sony has promised makes this all very compelling. I just hope MS can keep up especially considering both the use of ads and paid service.
cool, looks like Xbox's without everyother block being an ad! OOOOshh come at me! :P
*it really does though*
Great, I can see the real comments now: Your play really sux! Can I see your boobs? This game is crap, and so on....
To me this releasing news in small instalments just underlines a terrible fear about the competition, not just MS but also tablets, pcs who knows what.
In any case I do not expect the next xbox to be that different from the PS4.
is it just me or does this look a lot like the windows phone interface and xbox live's "windows phone-ish" dashboard?
OK thats nice but, So when are we gona see the actual console, launch titles, release date, prices, you know the important stuff???????
@holhardy I always thought it was what the console DID that was most important...
I don't think that was the point. I wasn't referring to the specs of the console (the number of ports and an Expansion Bay will be listed on a spreadsheet), I was referring to the design of the thing.
@holhardy Probably at E3..
I kinda miss the times when the only interface you had was when you didn't put the disc inside to mess with your memory card -_-
@AliasterSlash Those were definitly the days. I rather like my Little Big Planet Theme on my PS3 dash though. Run Sackboy, run!
XMB was just fine. I am sick to death of hearing about tablets, apps, social this and that. I want a fucking gamebox I put my PHYSICAL game discs in, period.
Those who think this is Xbox 360 interface copy. Try to think that this made with tablet friendly in mind.
That to me looks annoying to navigate, would much prefer something simpler like the XMB, it didn't take up a massive portion of the screen and you could easily get to where you wanted.
it looks like these dudes ar running up a mountain movement looks like sjit .... where is ADS ??
no hope for multiplayer .. singelplayer kicks ass
It looks pretty cluttered and a bit impractical, Sony will most likely change it with a new firmware later on.
Henry Bayle: 7 platinum throphies and you're level 17? I have 15 and I'm only lvl 14! It must be all them bronze trophies then, hmm?
This is cool and all but why are all the people in the pictures smiling with their eyes closed? It must be pretty sunny huh? lol
I think that's the PSN shop.
But I'm hoping the PS interface looks nothing like the XBL. I can't stress how ugly those big boxes are, and how horrendous such a thing is for navigation.
Nice! Only thing missing from Henry Bayle's profile is his age, address, social, blood type and bowel movement cycle.
Looks like Sony learned from the whole "no-one uses PS3 with their friends" and over compensated by making everything about social interaction.
The funny thing that often people forget about interfaces is that they tend to change it every year or so. I wouldn't worry about it now, I'm sure Sony firmware devs will find a more creative design post launch.
Although I am not happy that the XMB is no longer in use, it is pretty clear the interface was made to be tablet and phone friendly (which the XMB hard is) above all else than trying to make it specifically for a television screen.
