meh, steambox will have a much better interface than both the xbox and ps4. I will personally not be getting a games console at launch again since every games console I have had has broke on me after 2 years. I am going to wait for ps4 slimline. I never buy microsoft products anymore because they all suck

So I guess something similar to my gorgeous dynamic FLOWer theme will, at best, be all covered up by those tiles? Maybe it's just me, but I like the XMB. Simple, easy to navigate and well organized.

well no ads and free online play with some of the geikai features Sony has promised makes this all very compelling.  I just hope MS can keep up especially considering both the use of ads and paid service.

To me this releasing news in small instalments just underlines a terrible fear about the competition, not just MS but also tablets, pcs who knows what.

In any case I do not expect the next xbox to be that different from the PS4.

XMB was just fine. I am sick to death of hearing about tablets, apps, social this and that. I want a fucking gamebox I put my PHYSICAL game discs in, period.

Those who think this is Xbox 360 interface copy. Try to think that this made with tablet friendly in mind.

That to me looks annoying to navigate, would much prefer something simpler like the XMB, it didn't take up a massive portion of the screen and you could easily get to where you wanted.

It looks pretty cluttered and a bit impractical, Sony will most likely change it with a new firmware later on.

Looks alright for now. 

Looks like Sony learned from the whole "no-one uses PS3 with their friends" and over compensated by making everything about social interaction. 

The funny thing that often people forget about interfaces is that they tend to change it every year or so. I wouldn't worry about it now, I'm sure Sony firmware devs will find a more creative design post launch.

if they are smart they will sell the playstation with a headset included this time. 

Although I am not happy that the XMB is no longer in use, it is pretty clear the interface was made to be tablet and phone friendly (which the XMB hard is) above all else than trying to make it specifically for a television screen.

 Unoriginal, uninspiring, but does what it needs to...I guess.
