With XBLA edition out next week, Blazing Lizard's dodgeball grudge match spreads to Nintendo's console this winter.
Next week, the Internet may at long last gain some resolution in the burning conflict between pirates and ninjas. After weathering a series of delays since Gamecock first revealed Blazing Lizard's Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball last year, the Xbox Live Arcade party game will be available through Microsoft's downloadable service beginning on September 3.
To ride the coattails of that game's release, Gamecock said today that the pirates-versus-ninjas schoolyard brawl will spread to the Wii this winter. Gamecock notes that, rather than a mere port of the Xbox 360 game, the Wii version will include an all-new story and challenge modes, as well as several custom control schemes.
Pirates vs. Ninjas Dodgeball is the first game from Blazing Lizard, which was formed in 2007 by veterans of such games as Saints Row, Red Faction, and Descent: Freespace. Up to eight players can square off in a variety of game modes. Players can choose from seven different contingents, including the titular ninjas and pirates, as well zombies and robots.
Gamecock did not specify whether the game would be released at retail or through Nintendo's original game-download service, WiiWare. The publisher had not responded to requests for clarification as of press time. Pirates vs Ninjas seems pretty cool,I think that's a creative concept. And Note to Donteatcream:change your profile pic, that is just too annoying, you know what I'm going to give you a thumbs down just for that.
Ya ya ya,Pirates and Ninjas,but....):( OMG!!!Donteatcream's pic pisses me off!I hate it when people have their profile pic as a stupid dancing baby,#$%#!!!
I hope there's a secret faction that contains a group of... wait for it... pirate ninjas! God, that would PWN so much that I'd need a new pair of pants.
Out of all the things they could've done with Pirates vs. Ninjas, the best they came up with is volleyball?
as a ps3 owner the games i regret not being able to play the most has been XBLA games recently!! i mean on the main roster up to now ite just really been gears and bioshock(at least its coming to ps3) but right now when youve got stuff like pirates ninjas dodgeball, castle crashers, braid and the like and theyre all awesome! dont get me wrong i love my system but when you see fan boys trying to justify their system choice they prattle on about all these big games but never mention the D/L games.
Well I own a 360 and a Wii so I'll just wait to see which one is better. Anything involving ninjas beating the crap out of pirates is good to me. :P
