Pierce Brosnan to star in James Bond game
Electronic Arts will use the famous actor in James Bond 007: NightFire, its upcoming action game.
Electronic Arts has announced that it has reached an agreement with Pierce Brosnan to use the actor's likeness in James Bond 007: NightFire, EA's upcoming action game. Brosnan is best known for starring in several recent James Bond films including GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, and The World Is Not Enough. NightFire is scheduled for release in the same month as the upcoming 007 film Die Another Day, which also stars Brosnan.
"Pierce Brosnan and Bond have created an unbeatable combination for the franchise over the past few years, so we're excited to have Pierce aboard to help deliver to fans the ultimate Bond experience," said Chip Lange, marketing vice president for EA. "I am confident that together, Pierce Brosnan, EA, and NightFire will make for the most dynamic and appealing Bond game yet."
James Bond 007: NightFire is being developed for the PC by Gearbox Software. The console versions of the game are being developed through a partnership between EA and UK-based Eurocom Entertainment Software. The game is scheduled for release on the PC, Sony PlayStation 2, Microsoft Xbox, and Nintendo GameCube near the end of the year.
