People Can Fly vets form new studio
Independent studio The Astronauts headed up by Adrian Chmielarz, Andrzej Poznanski, and Michal Kosieradzki; first game arriving in 2013 powered by Unreal Engine 3.
Painkiller and Bulletstorm studio People Can Fly founders Adrian Chmielarz, Andrzej Poznanski, and Michal Kosieradzki left the company over the summer, and now their next effort has been revealed. The trio have founded The Astronauts, a new Warsaw, Poland-based independent studio.
The company's first project will release in 2013 for unspecified platforms, and according to Chmielarz, the studio is "on a quest to map uncharted waters." The unannounced game will run on Epic Games' Unreal Engine 3 and is part of a multi-title licensing agreement.
The company's newly launched website does not list any open positions nor any further details on the studio's first game.
